Okay news app but...

Every time I use this app for more than 10 minutes, my phone, a newer model iPhone mind you, gets super hot. Then the app starts acting laggy. Worried my phone will overheat, I close the app. Very strange.
Copying my clipboard

Every time I open the app I get the iOS 14 popup that IGN is copying from my copy and paste clipboard.

Considering this is my primary app for gaming news, it’s HIGHLY frustrating that this app is SO unoptimized and laggy. This app literally turns my phone into a heater after about 10 minutes and ruthlessly tortures my battery. You guys need to fix this ish!!
Keeps copying from clipboard, and crashes

This is one of the worst yet useful apps I have on my phone. Sure it contains useful information, but it crashes constantly, lags, videos barely work, and now it copies anything in my clipboard. Not to mention the fact that they still don’t understand how dark modes work.

I honestly don’t know why I keep using this app. As others have mentioned, this app has been buggy for years. With every update I hope they’ll finally figure it out, but it never stays better for very long. Use the app for a few mins and it’ll eventually freeze and no longer take input. The app regularly stutters as if it’s having framerate issues (on an iPhone 11 Pro Max no less). Often the app just crashes back to the Home Screen after some scrolling. They finally fixed the bug where scrolling randomly activates ads and opens Safari, though I’ve seen that bug get reintroduced several times as well. The app is simply a hot mess. I love IGN, but you’re better off using Safari and just visiting the website.
