Search function is worthless

I tried to search for a topic with recent news and the app gave me results from 5 years ago. No way to customize my feed and notifications don’t work. This app is trash.
Broken. Keeps crashing

It keeps crashing every time I try to open an article or anything. I can barley navigate through it. I have a iPhone XR. I tried reinstalling but it keeps crashing .
Articles blank, daily deals blank, broken links

Half of the time that articles are blank. The daily deals are notorious for showing as blank. IGN does sporadically place links in the daily deal articles as though they are aware that the article is missing. But the link is broken 9 out of 10 times! I enjoy the articles on the rare occasions they work properly. But the user experience makes me want to delete the app.
Fix the never-ending bugs

This is absurd. This app has so many bugs, it makes it so difficult to use the app. Please fix the issue where music stops whenever the app is opened. I have had this app for years and never once has there been a clean experience without bugs.

Thats cheap and I do not appreciate it. I like to app, but that does not make me want to come back and keep using.
Whats with the ads all of a sudden?

Ive been using this app for years. Since probably 5 years ago actually. Ive never once had an issue with anything noteworthy, but the last 2 or 3 days, any time i scroll past a Starz ad, it immediately opens my browser and the Starz website. Ive been on this phone for about 6 months & thats never happened before, all of my other apps function as they have for the entirety of my time using them on this phone (excluding updates) but its getting insanely irritating having 5+ Starz ads opening anytime i try to get my daily entertainment news. Im unsure if anyone else is experiencing this, but its starting to make me consider either getting an ad blocker or dropping the app. And im not going to pay for an ad blocker on my phone, so it looks like IGN’s gonna get uninstalled soon if the ads dont stop. I feel like im in the season of South Park with the living ads or something
