Be careful booking hot rate hotel... it is a fraud

AvoidHotwire

No integrity. Be careful booking HotRate hotel... it is a fraud. Showed that last person booked hotel with amenities and booked hotel without those amenities. Zero customer service. Agent kept on hold for more than hour then said will call me. Never got call. Lost my business.

No contagion coverage

Runner Bill

My wife and daughter booked a hotel in Paris mid March but required to cancel due to CV-19. Hotwire refused to refund and said it was the hotel’s decision. I called and emailed hotel but no response and nobody picked up the call I understand personal situations without insurance should not be refunded but this pandemic should be refunded as I believe the hotel is shut down I won’t book again

Don’t risk Hotwire’s $ problem

snowtravel

The price you see on Hotwire is frankly a lie. Yep, Hotwire lies. Indeed, having called Hotwire, they know it. Book a hotel and when you arrive, it will charge you much more than the promised total. Why do this to us? People can productively discuss hotel star ratings and subjective quality issues of course. But when you have booked a room for “$x,” plus at-site fees and taxes, it should never ever be more than that. Come on people, there are undisclosed fees and taxes on fees and taxes. Freaking just tell me the true total, so my GF and I can plan expenses. Is this too much to ask? (Hotwire is at pains to tell people a Hotwire rate booking can’t be changed. That means, you are stuck, but the price you pay may be much more $ than they say.) Honestly, truly shameful.

Worthless

Amongst other things, don’t bother with the chat, you won’t get an answer.
