This App Lacks Finesse...Boo!

Using the PTZ to pan and tilt on this app is lackluster. There is no finesse when zoomed-out panning and tilting. I’ve used Swann and Magic View which have much better interfaces. Hikvision is Chinese - who are notoriously known for copying and stealing existing design - one would infer that Hikvision would’ve copied and incorporated the best features of other existing apps.

It never never connects when I need to says it’s off line when I know it’s not very frustrating


Limited user connections

The app limits the amount of connections for the doorbell cam. You are only allowed 3 connections at any given time. If you add the doorbell cam to your not it counts as 1 leaving you with 2 feeds left. Add the iVMS-4500 you are now only have 1 feed. So now I have multiple users that have access to the app who cannot view any video. This is just not accessible. Hikvision better address this problem quickly. I just might solve a lot of connection issues people have had and think it’s a network problem.

Do yourself a huge favor and stay far away from this Completely Useless App! It never, ever works reliably, especially when you need it most. For those people that think it must be the user's fault for not setting it up correctly or understanding how it works... good luck with that rational when this garbage app screws you over and over again any time you actually need it. Pardon my rant of extreme disappointment and please have yourself a great day otherwise.


How to format card?

No such function to activate / format SD card to be used for the first time from the app itself? Ezviz had this year's ago...

The monitor console is located in my family room and is connected to my tv. It has such a loud high pitched sound coming from it, I have to turn it off to watch tv at night. I can even hear it down the hall. Into my bedroom. It has made the ringing in my ears worse. I called ADT who installed it, but they won't even talk to me about it. Any suggestions.


Horrible system and poor support from Adt.

We have 3 systems At home and 2 rental properties. We are unable to view all 3 on the hik app and the tech didn’t know how to fix problem. This is horrible. We wish we had bought Vivint. But Vivint is very expensive and we got tricked into signing a 5 year monitoring contract with Vivint. We don’t know what to do now. And don’t know who to call.
