It’s bad and awful customer service. They don’t speak English they hire Chinese or Indian people to answer the phone. They don’t know what they are doing. What a shame

Up until now everything has been fine for me. Now there are tons of app errors I can’t move money have the time the half I can’t even sight in the last update actually hurt more then it helped hope this fixed soon


Not showing any of my transactions!!

I had this app for a good while now. But today it seems as if it doesn’t want to act right. I went shopping and looked for my transactions, but it said I didn’t have any which I knew I did. Even other transactions disappeared!!! I have no clue where they went.


Can’t log in to activate card

Extremely inadequate phone tree options for customer service. It is now 8:30pm have been trying to activate card since 1:30 this afternoon . Downloaded the application now says does not recognize card # have waited tried again asking for support says my birthday is wrong and dumps me. Beware of this before you chose green dot you might be out $500.00 like me. Very bad customer support no way to talk to a human. Bought it at CVS beware

This app has a funky bug on iOS that won’t let you login !!! It’s like the data is deleted and the app goes back to default settings!! But here’s the kicker !!! You can’t login until you delete and re-download ??‍♂️

I’ve had nothing but problems with green dot. I was told there wouldn’t be any fees come to find out I was lied to they were charging me 9.95 every month... when I called them to ask why my money wasn’t on my card they then told I had a negative balance so after a few hours of arguing with them I ended up getting back the 19 bucks that was taken off my card for a negative balance that I didn’t even know I had... also was told there would be any negative balances I do not recommend this to anyone it’s beyond ridiculous

I tried this out for a couple of weeks and it wasn’t bad. It does what it’s suppose to do. You do get 5% cash back on qualified purchases but unless you run your card a lot, I don’t think it’s worth it considering the $9.95 monthly membership fee. I knocked it down 2 stars because support is awful! I had questions on getting set up for mobile check deposit and they were very vague and could never give me a direct answer. They kept repeating the same thing each time I reached out via email and told me to refer to their FAQ because apparently that is where I can find all my answers. I scoured through their FAQs from the beginning and nothing in there would help answer my questions. When I asked them to direct me to where I can find that information they said they actually don’t have instructions on how to get set up with direct deposit. It turns out it just takes some time before you are given access (I discovered this on my own). If they would have answered my initial question of “does this take some time to go though or should I be given immediate access?” It would’ve saved a ton of back and forth! I decided to just stick with my current bank at this point and am closing my green dot account. I could see it work for budgeting if you can stomach the monthly fee.

Can so one help me? I purchased a pre paid card so I can buy things online. Will not let me activate card, it kicked me out for 24 hours so I can not try again and it seems like there is no live operator to talk to. Feel like I’ve been robbed. Someone please let me know how I can get my money back or at least activate the card. Very disappointed.

Your app Tells me in order to log in I have to log in at the website first. I do so and all it shows is my transaction history on the website your home button does nothing and I still can’t use the app. Unreliable and frankly why would I trust my money with a service that can’t even get its programming right let alone handle my cash.
