...try deleting Google Chrome App if you have it. The Chrome App appears to be forcing use of the USB connection that so of be used on a laptop rather than allowing Bluetooth connection. Good luck. Lots of bugs with this setup right now!

The app does not let you register itself, preventing you from using advanced protection if you want to use your iPhone’s Apple Mail to get mail.

NFC support? Where are you?

While functional this app could be easily improved by adding NFC support. Apple opened up NFC support with iOS 13. Why can’t I use my Yubikey? I understand that not all iPhones have NFC but it should at least be an option for those of us with modern devices.

Keeps asking me to insert and activate key instead of looking for Bluetooth key. In need of an update/fix.

For those struggling to get your iPad to prompt for Bluetooth instead of inserting a key, try requesting the desktop version of the page by clicking the “Aa” option at the top. This did the trick for me; not sure if related to new iPad OS being treated like MacOS since Google has no documentation for this.

This app is so unbelievably useless. I try to log in and it just sends me back to the app store. Google doesn't help or support this app at all. They do not care. Update: One month later and still absolutely garbage

The built-in security key feature and new UI are really cool! As an Advanced Protection Program user, I’ve always wanted to use my iPhone as a security key, which would save me the burden of carrying another security key around or occasional Bluetooth paring failure. Glad to see Google put more efforts into this app.

Built in security keys are a game changer

It’s awesome with this update to use my iPhone as my security key when logging into my Google account. Much better security than SMS as a second factor and way more convenient than carrying around a separate security key dongle.
