Works as advertised but not the clearest directions

I was a little confused at first because like other users when I installed the app, there was no way to pair the Titan Security Key, all I had was the screen saying "You're all set." I tried using it on a different phone that I hadn't previously logged in with my Google account and it had me pair the Titan as expected. I realized the reason I didn't have to pair on my daily phone is because I was already signed in to my Google account on the phone and had paired my Titan with my account previously on my PC, there was no further reason to verify my identity. If I logged out and tried to log back in, then I would need to use the Titan. Overall the Titan and app work as expected, just not the clearest set up instructions.

No NFC support

I would love to enable Advanced Protection but this only supports Bluetooth keys on mobile, despite NFC support by my Yubikey and iOS, so now I have to disable Advanced Protection and sign back into everything. Nice one Google!

So buggy it’s scary

The smart lock app fails miserably on my iPad Pro. After entering my userid and password, it asks for a key to be inserted. It should instead begin a dialogue to connect with the blue tooth key. It does work correctly on my iPhone X though it is quite clumsy.

NO NFC!

Application is garbage without the ability to use NFC Yubikey. No, I’m not buying a special Bluetooth key!

My problem was with IPad Pro 12.3 first gen with titan key usb. Smart lock would not look for Bluetooth key. For some reason it was sayin plug in key and push button. Tried all steps 10 times nothing worked. I started to sign in with Gmail app instead of smart lock it got to step that said install or open smart lock app. When I pressed open it worked as I got correct window with picture of USB key. I hope that can help if you have the same problem. Good lock(luck).

It took me about 10 minutes to figure out how it works, but now that I have figured it out the app and security keys work flawlessly. It is worth having that piece of mind knowing that your accounts are secure.

Junk! Doesn’t work with Bluetooth on iPad os 13.3

When I try to login it prompts for my gmail userID and password (which I provide) and then tells me to plugin my titan key rather than requesting my titan bluetooth key. The google titan Bluetooth key can link up fine with my MacBook Pro (which is how I registered it on my account) but it will not work with a 2017 iPad running iPad os 13.3.

I've turned on advanced protection on my account and now trying to login on my iphone... First of all i got the request to download SmartLock and punch in some sort of OTP. Fine by me, appstore, download, login page... Which says that i need SmartLock app to use SmartLock app. It's hilarious! Google definitely should do something about this
