Good for limiting time but not as good as iPhones

ShartyWaffles2

As a parent I want to limit the time my children play games on their phones. However, I do want them to be able to access text messages and other apps that I would allow. This app is really an “all or nothing.” You can set a daily screen time limit, which shuts down the entire phone except emergency calls after the limit has been reached, no good. You can forgo the daily limit and set individual time limits on apps BUT this allows my kiddo to play each app for the prescribed time limit. Apple again does this right by putting apps in categories such as games and allows the parent to limit time by category, allowing my kid to continue to use their phone until it shuts down at bedtime mode. This app would be great if they allowed the user to categorize apps and set time limits by category. My advice, by iPhones for your kids instead of android devices, iPhone has this feature out of the box.

GPS is way off

GoldGirl1111

I’m hoping there’s a fix for this app I got it because my daughter runs off without permission all the time and I have to find her. Love the app but the problem is the location finder or gps is way off, even when she’s at home it gives an address that’s 3 or 4 miles away!!! When she’s not at home same thing, it’s been off by a lot. That’s not helpful at all, please tell me there’s a fix for this problem? I really need this feature to work for peace of mind. I can’t imagine it was made to be that far off????‍♀️

No parental control

Klittrell

Google should call the app Google Child Control because Google makes all the parental decisions. I as the parent have almost no control over content.

New to the site

camhick

It isn’t fair to write a review at this time cause I’ve only explored the app in the last 24 hours, however, it’s a great way to monitor my child’s searches during school. My only hope is it lives up to my expectations.

This is very hard to maneuver through and once the acct is created it is very hard to change anything. I do not like it

IOS not supported

Debbie 1030

SO yeah, you can make a family calendar and children email accounts, but IF you are an apple family, your KIDS CAN NOT USE the google mail app or the phone mail app to sync. They have to use the browser to get their mail. #FU #thanksforthat #WTF #AREYOUKIDDINGME??? So all the while, I TRY to be an apple and GOOGLE customer, they are pushing me away with each tech advancement I TRY to make them a part of. Either I get the kid new phones OR get us out of google. Guess what, I am not replacing my phones and tablets at this time.

Google decides 13 is mature enough

Ress99

I would leave a five star rating, however my daughter turned 13 now and google decided she was old enough to take full control. Yeah right google. I’ll do the parenting thank you. Anyhow, now I have to make my daughter a new google account and apparently lie about her age. She won’t have access to all her old files. Thanks Google for attempting to raise my child but I got it from here. I encourage more people to leave negative reviews on this issue until google decides to make it right.
