Too many bugs

Allo’s performance with images is woeful. Images in chats often appear in a low-resolution format only and won’t download the full-resolution version. Other times the thumbnail in the chat is full-resolution but when you tap to see the full-sized image all that appears is a black box. When you enter the app, it stops any music or radio stream you might have been listening to, even if you haven’t tapped on a video clip to play. More troubling, even though I have background app refresh turned off for this app, the battery usage screen in the Settings app shows that Allo has used 8% of my battery over the last 7 days, *with 8 hours in the background vs. 55 minutes on screen*. I’ve toggled the settings off and on and reinstalled the app, and it made no difference on my iPhone X. The predictive text is good for a laugh, but I doubt that was the developer’s goal. The only positive thing I can say about the app is that the near constant crashes I used to suffer through seem to have stopped finally.
App keeps crashing when viewing photos

I love this app, but as of recently the entire app crashes when I attempt to click on a photo someone has sent in the group chat. This is a very frustrating issue to deal with and I hope it can be resolved soon.
I don’t get it

So google has hangouts with both video and chat baked in. Now they have Allo and duo. Separate app for message and video. I don’t get it. So why won’t I just use hangouts? Why download 3 separate apps that hangouts can do? Seriously google? This is why Apple beats google for social media interface.

I read many troubleshooting articles on how to restore from a back up and none of them helped or worked. I’d like this app a lot more if I could get it to restore to a previous back up
App crashes when looking at photos

The app crashes when swiping through photos within a conversation.
Can't tag other members in a group.

Tagging members using @ doesn't work. Typing @ just brings up "google" and none of the other members name. Please fix this. Also please add reply to a message feature.
Logs out every time

Functional and decent app in general but every time the app refreshes, it logs me out and I have to get a verification code sent to my number to log back in. It’s annoying and unnecessary. Please fix.
