You would use this app for group chats across different operating systems, if you didn’t know other options existed. Worst messaging app I’ve ever used. Messages are received in a different order than they are sent and the web version of convo’s doesn’t mirror the in app chat, if you send a video it will take somewhere between 30 minutes to infinity to upload and send. The web version only works if you have a smart phone with the app open and running. Crazy bad stuff. You also can’t do useful things like send your friends money.

- share location is whack - there should be a more in depth vote/poll command - should have custom backgrounds (uploadable) - could have better web compatibility and more friendly interface

Just updated Allo and the app is at its worst. I am getting notifications for new messages but when I open the app, the chat and texts just don’t load. It’s a blank screen. Even the texts that I send, do not appear on the screen. Unable to view anything.

The new update...Which I believe is 26.0...Makes the app unable to use. I did the update this morning and I can not view or send messages. Messages that do get sent to me come up in my notifications but once I open the app...Nothing. Can’t see or do anything.

Solid all around but the other user constantly says gifs do not work on the receiving end

Version 26 has completely ruined allo for my iPhone 7. It constantly freezes, send messages minutes after I have replied, and doesn’t load messages from others. I don’t know what happened but it needs to be fixed ASAP.

Great app for my wife and I to stay in contact throughout the day. App has only two annoying quirks that we routinely encounter. 1. When the voice conversation is set to “auto play” any message received by the other person, when I’m in the middle of recording my own outgoing message, will cancel my outgoing message with no warning when the other person’s message starts to play. This is extremely annoying when a 30 second outgoing message gets interrupted in second 29 and I have to start over. 2. I have a difficult time activating record mode with my fat fingers. Sometime I feel the vibration as if recording has started. I even feel the vibration when I let go of the button - just as if it recorded - but sadly it didn’t. Would really appreciate having a larger record button with tactile feedback that you can depend on. Thanks for the great app.

I love the messaging app, it’s compatible with android and iOS which family members love cause we all have different devices. Love its usefulness but I wish and truly wish it would support sms messaging so I don’t have to leave between the two services. Even Facebook messenger works with sms and that’s reason I didn’t give it 5 Stars. Also, give more themes or make themes customizable

I understand what google is trying to do with RCS but why not make this sms fallback compatible as well? It would make the app so much more accessible and would give people a solid reason to use the app. That reason being. It works to message anyone wether they have the app or NOT. The application itself isn’t half bad it’s smooth the features are thought out well and google assistant is always a pleasure... The insane way they were able to cut out a majority of people I message by not using the fallback makes this very tough to get other people to use since it is locked together. With RCS which again I’m excited for RCS but it’s so little and far between to be something extremely useful. ?
