The minute i opened Allo, the Google Assistant came up and said it may share my location at times. I asked “Who are you sharing my location with?” It replied “I can’t tell you.” I immediately uninstalled the app. If you can’t tell me who your sharing my info with, I can’t use your app. Simple as that.

I use this app only with one person because he likes it a lot. Unfortunately it doesn’t work so well on my iPhone. The quick gif picture feature is a neat and worked before. However any gif I create now will only show up as a still image. He has a Google Pixel phone too. & the messages take forever to send sometimes. Delays on WiFi and on LTE. I wouldn’t use this chat app if it weren’t for my friend. If all the features worked well then I would of given 5 stars.
Crashes a lot, cannot send text with photos.

When I take a photo and click share, and select Allo, it just crashes and goes right back to the instant before I selected it. Before, when it did work, I could send a photo with text. Then it got to the point where if I tried to send multiple photos, it would just close and not do anything. Now it just crashes immediately. If I open the app and send a photo directly, I can send the photo and text, but only separately. It looks like it should be able to do it, but it doesn’t. Another annoying thing, when you start typing, it often (not always) starts with a lowercase letter. If you’re not paying attention, you’ll have to go back and correct it. (Yes, I’m a grammar Nazi.)

Needs flexibility to have option to send sms or allo message. Google hangouts allows this. Also, messages falling through the cracks..... Responses not being received. Great features, but Not ready for prime time yet. The number one problem is it doesn't integrate with non allo users text messaging
Crashes when viewing an image
