I moved over here after Telegram got blocked by the Iranian government. This doesn’t even compared to Telegram. Telegram had channels and custom stickers and replies and message editing. This has neither the option to edit messages nor one to reply to them. Sending a GIF or a picture is entirely disorienting because the picture gets stretched till it’s the width of the whole chat. The edit text size is a neat gimmick but that’s about it
Simple but no contact photos

This app is simple to switch to and a great alternative to iMessage for people with android devices. One issue I have with the app is there is no option to use your own contact photos which is annoying google please fix!
Amazing app but there is one thing

The app is really useful and will even say it is better than iMessage if everyone was on it because there is this really cool gif feature what it does is when you are texting you can search for different gifs instead of having to download them. My family, friends and I would send random gifs to each other that are really funny. It even has a bitmoji feature where you can take a picture or customize your own little character so it creates stickers for you to use that kid of look like you. The only reason this app isn’t five stars for me is that it isn’t universal meaning you can’t just text a random phone number.

I’m unable to even verify my phone number. App crashes every time I press the country code selection field. Disappointing!
Good, but doesn’t work on Fitbit Versa

Have been using Allo for a while now and love it. I recently got the Fitbit Versa and unfortunately I cannot get Allo notifications on it. Will gladly give it 5 stars once notifications are available on the Versa.

We connected our “message us” on our google business page to Allo so we can get messages when away from the office. It’s been a great tool for customers to contact us easily, but I wish there was a way to set an auto reply so if it’s after hours, someone doesn’t have to always be available via the app all hours of the night.
