Not a bad chat app, good for groups who like to spam emojis and gifs (that's my friend circle in a nutshell). Suffers from UI clutter, and the suggested replies are rarely useful (and cannot be disabled).

Love Google Assistant in Allo

We all chat but Allo has the Google AI built in which makes more and more interesting to chat and use AI work for you! There is just no end to what Google Assistant can do for you, I just asked for a fact abt Canada and AI after providing the facts, asked me if I am interested in a fact to be sent every day and gave me options to select the time to send it. Isn’t that awesome!

I wanted to like it, but I have an iPhone SE, and the keyboard plus word suggestions take up more than half the screen real estate. I can only see one message with the keyboard visible. There wasn’t an option to disable word suggestions either, so I would have to live with it or use private messages, which would defeat the purpose as the only feature I like is integrated Google Assistant. I’ll come back in a few years when I get a bigger phone, maybe.

I have one request. I should be able to use google allo with someone who has no phone number. I should be allowed to use my gmail account as a second option.

I am an iPhone user and I enjoy this app more than iMessage, Apple’s messaging platform. One thing I wish could change if possible is to be able to use the app without having to invite another person to download the app. I’d like to use this as my primary messaging platform, but only if another user wants to use it. I would also love to be able to customize my own themes.
