I enjoy app, but need help.

How do I get my iPad Pro and my iPhone 8 to sync between each other?

So close to loving it!

This is a really good note taking app but there are some odd overlooked issues that make it feel unnatural to work in. Please consider adding support to rotate the notebook pages on the screen to make writing easier than just straight on. Another issue is the clunky way it handles PDFs, the Documents app by Readdle is a great PDF reader and if GoodNotes could be something like that it would make this app a 10. PDFs need vertical scrolling, double tap to page turn (+less animation) and possibly even select-a-word definitions like Documents does. The only reason I rate this so low is because the Documents app is free and does these things without issue, so why doesn’t GoodNotes as a premium app? Please continue to make this better!

Please give us more flexibility in settings

I’m changing the review to 5 stars because of the timely customer support. One more feature request: it’d be great to have a multi finger gesture to quickly switch between pencil and eraser. Lacking: 1. Can you add a setting to move the toolbar to bottom? It’s much easier to switch pencil and eraser that way. (Resolved) 2. Please add slots in the color palette to hold commonly used custom colors. I don’t like half of the presets and almost always use my custom defined colors

Need: More levels of categories/folders

Love this app, but as an college student organization freak, I wish I could create more levels of categories/folders. This missing feature is leaving me on the lookout for a "better" app. For example, I wish to organize everything as follows: - by year in college (freshman, sophomore, etc) - in each year folder, have semester folders - in each semester folder, have class folders - in each class folder would be a notebook, as well as PDFs used, that could also be organized into folders if wanted but, I am limited to: - by year in college (freshman, sophomore, etc) - in each year folder, have semester folders - in each semester folder, I can only have notebooks This organization trend leaves me to have no good, separate organization to store PDFs for classes as well as the notebook. I think this is a silly feature to not have - to allow the user to organize things however they would like. Other than that, I have no complaints about the app and love it

Vertical scrolling??

I am using both goodnotes and notability and I personally prefer goodnotes, I find the writing style is closer to reality than notability, however I switched recently to using more notability because of the a lot of new features they included recently. I hope i will change my review to 5 star as soon as vertical scrolling and two pages view side by side are implemented.

Good, but lags

Not Reina

When using the app, if you use the highlighter tool too much the page will take forever to load or appear in a very low resolution. Big downside, becuse I enjoy using the app for colorful templates and planning.

Laggin with large paper sizes

wangsen992

Everything works out with A4 paper, but when A3 is used and there is more writing, it takes a very long time to even load the writings.

Wish I could open notes in split screens and record audio for lectures

Don't get if you NEED or WANT your notes!

I'm keeping a digital bullet journal that contains ALL my essential information. Except when I open it, and the whole folder has deleted itself. Should've known there would be problems when I saw a workaround for this issue in the dev's FAQ section. Well, the instructions didn't work, and I desperately needed my info back, so I contacted the dev. After two days, he got back to me and said "sounds like Apple storage isn't working right for you." That was it. I asked a follow up question and got zero help. I finally figured out how to get some of the info back, but not all of it. Frankly, I am learning to despise this app. It's most likely to delete everything after I've spent hours inputting new stuff. It doesn't save the most recent stuff before deleting the notebook, so hours of work can go down the tubes in seconds. It's happened twice today. I'm trying to be patient, and just keep rebuilding, but for such an expensive app, I feel that the app should work and the dev should support it. I'm giving up, and looking to go to the competition. It may not do everything that Goodnotes does, but as long as it actually KEEPS the information put into it, I'm beyond caring. All the bells and whistles in the world don't help if there's no basic functionality.

Great app! Just one thing.....

I love this app so much I love the style of the handwriting and the options it gives you. The only thing I would improve on this app would be to add some sort of recording setting where it lets you record as you take your notes, I think it could be very useful!
