Little Rough

jhanken

Basically functional, one pet peeves is that despite crazy control over kerning and line spacing, you cannot resize the gargantuan margins. It's like the bezels on a Gen 1 Kindle or Nook.

“Offline” flat out does not work

Scrbblr

Way too complicated, constantly freezes, and books from the Wall Street Journal that I’ve theoretically downloaded for offline reading fail to appear. I am extremely skeptical of the positive reviews here; they are too generic and read like the creations of bots.

Flakey App

Max chip

This app needs a lot of work! It continuously loses your place while reading the book. It skips chapters and you have to get out of the application and get back in to access the missing chapter. Also, it randomly switches from two column display to one column on a page. Overall very frustrating.

Very awkward app. Useless.

JakeLohr

Can’t even access book I’ve downloaded nor navigate within it.

The app just quit when you resume reading.

I signed up on this app via wsj, and was excited about it. But the app does not work well, and needs a lot of work.

How does this work?

yukonreflection

It was my intention to use this on my phone however It is not intuitive at all. How the devil do I actually buy a book? I cannot even locate a price list. If I am not savvy enough for this product I am in good company as I spoke with several friends and they have already sent it to the bit bucket. I would like to see it work as I do not like Google or Amazon and I have thousands of books on their clouds. Please folks let’s try and get this right. If you need people let me know I will send some your way.

Keeps paging by itself and losing my place

TimLG

This reader is driving me crazy! It skips forward on its own, and I then have to interrupt my reading and find my place again. It’s like I keep dropping the book on the floor. This didn’t happen in earlier versions of the app. Not cool, and it indicates to me that changes aren’t being adequately tested before release to the public.

A bug on every page

Full of Bugs

RamblinWrecked

I’ve been using Glose for the past 3 months and have read three books using this app. I like the fundamental social aspect of the app, but the pages are full of bugs. Sometimes it won’t let me turn pages; other times the pages are misaligned. It doesn’t seem to be getting fixed with each update sent out. It is highly frustrating when trying to read and it continues to bug out frequently on my iPad. Hopefully a fix comes soon.
