Garmin 245 - this app never can connect. Utter junk with garmin 245 music.

Really a shambles. As a full time cycling coach, I need a device that works. And connect is pathetic, clunky. Designed by people who must never have used one out of doors. The Edge 530 is awful, btw. I am on my third. Out of the five months I have had it, it has spent over two back at Garmin and is about to go back again for another visit. Unbelievable.
Time for app fix

Since IOS update I have to login/sign up as if I have a new device every time I navigate away from the app. Very irritating and time wasting (because most of the time the app can’t find my device or says cannot sync — despite the fact that the watch and phone both say they’re connected.) Will change my review once app is fixed. Garmin customer service is AMAZING! And I love their products. Just not living the app right now!

Been using for 2+ years and each software rev gets progressively more buggy. Normal companies would replace their programmers. Suggest looking for alternative fitness hardware other than Garmin which has better software integration available.

It really helps to have all of your Activity metrics in one place! The app is easy to use, easy to navigate and all in real time.
Sync issues.

Doesn’t sync consistently. Logs out. Waste of time. If I could revert back to prior versions I would.
Awful app for Garmin watches

Garmin makes good watch hardware, but this app is terrible. It randomly unpairs my Forerunner watch, only syncs it when I open the app, pops up dialogs about whether I will use the app for golfing, asks me for all kinds of other random things, and occasionally can't sync an activity at all, getting stuck and forcing me to delete it. So many bugs.

Almost every day I have to login to the app again and it struggles to find my garmin. When it’s working I love it but I so frustrated how difficult it is to get started
