The newest version of Garmin Connect Mobile is designed to help you to focus even more clearly on your fitness and healthy living goals. All the data you rely on is easy to find and access on the app. Plus, you can also upload data from your compatible fitness watch or device to share via our online network, so you can compare times or compete with friends on weekly step or running challenges. You can even use the app’s Bluetooth® connectivity links (with a compatible smartphone) to receive current weather conditions, forecasts, voice call/text message notifications, and more – right on your Garmin fitness device.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
This app shows everything!! Way better stats than when I had my Apple Watch.
I use this app everyday to sync my watch. I love the features and the fact that I am able to see my stats. I wish I didn’t beed the app open on my phone in order to use the “find my phone “ feature on my watch.
One example: I slept at 11:50 and got up at 8:10. When I took a look, it said from 11:56 to 6:27. Ok. 11:56 is close to 11:50. So I updated the 6:27 to 8:10. Then it said manual data entry and totally ignored the time of deep sleep and light sleep data that were recorded before. It is just terribly inaccurate. Cannot trust the data there.
After setting the app to send workouts to Apple Health, it does not bring over heart rate and GPS data. It’s the only app that appears to not be working right.
The app seems to be designed in only dark mode, and has no light mode for light sensitive people. Viewing light text on a dark background literally burns text images into the eyes of light sensitive people. I'm sure this was originally overlooked by programmers and designers who are unaware of visual light sensitivity, but I've found complaints dating back over a year and it hasn't been addressed yet. This should be a high priority feature request.
Have more than one device, like a phone or a tablet? Don’t sign in to Garmin on both. You probably only want to pair with one device, but after signing in on the second the “helpful” engineers are Garmin have your device constantly go into pairing mode so you can’t see your watch face and your phone gets non stop intrusive prompts for a PIN. This is very much an anti feature and not nearly as helpful as you think.
I just got a new phone and tried to pair it with my watch. When it prompts to enter the passcode from the watch, no keyboard comes up on the phone. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app…no luck.
Love my Garmin 945 LTE. It replaced my Apple Watch because it is a much better fitness watch.
Constantly fails to sync with the GPS watch, works only if I restart the phone
Since using, I have a much clearer bar set for myself and better understand my abilities
