Stupid alarm

DankoleClouds

Absolutely requiring a stupid, loud alarm to even use the app is dumb. If my blood sugar is to a “critical” point, I’ll feel it. Let me set it to vibrate or something else.

Incompatibility OS 15.3

FRW1911

Not compatible with OS 15.3 how that helpful ???

Simply Doesn’t Stay Connected

NoVa Bar Hopper

Using the most updated version of this app with iOS 15.3 and the sensor doesn’t stay connected to the app. Therefore, the high/low alarm feature is useless. Yes, I’ve called the support line. No, they can’t help. Abbott should allow third party software since they can’t get it right themselves.

Useful data but app is frustrating

ADigbySellers

The sensor/app combo make testing a breeze. The app makes me want throw my phone away. All notifications are confirmed to be turned off but I still get annoying reminders BEEP-BEEP-BEEP! that tells me and everyone within a 3 mile radius that I need to test. Often these alerts are literally 20 minutes apart even though I tested in range continue to be. Very useful info but I understand why some users turn their phone off.

It does what it needs to, but not much more

jsg2021

It works. But using the app is frustrating. Sluggish response and odd scanning experiences make you have to rescan repeatedly. It feels like something is blocking the main thread. (especially after several months of use)

I don’t like mg/dL

machunick

It should let me change the unit of measure to mmol/L. Kinda dumb that it won’t.

Just ok

liteSugaSuga

I got a free sample voucher to try it out so I asked my endocrinologist to write me a prescription. I’ve been using my original FreeStyle for over a year now. I’m about 5 days in and I don’t think I would use this version. I’ve had at least three instances of the scan not being available - it tells me to try again in 10 minutes. But when I re-scan after 10 or even 20 minutes I still get the error. I was able to fiddle with the alarms because they are quite loud but the low alarm is not able to be disabled at all (I totally understand why - that’s the whole point of the monitor). The app must be running in the background at all times which isn’t workable for me as it drains the battery on my phone after just a few hours. The FreeStyle 2 is also not covered by my insurance, so I can’t justify the extra expensive on my limited budget for a monitor that seems a little unreliable for me. I think the concept is great but this just wouldn’t really work for my lifestyle. I’m perfectly happy with the FreeStyle 1.0 and feel it has been reliable and mostly accurate.

Needs a vibrate alarm option

lmw2194

The alarm beeps are driving me and my family crazy. Instead of waking only me up with the vibration alarm, my husband and my dog both wake up every time this app beeps. No one is getting any sleep. I’m starting a new job in a few days and didn’t really want to explain my T1 diagnosis on day one, but with the alarm chirps it looks like I’ll have to tell everyone my medical history. Please create a vibrate alarm option like you have on the old LibreLink app!! I don’t know why it was possible before and not now on a newer version. The other features work okay, still have a warm up period where it tells me I’m low for 24 hrs but that’s at least expected. What would be nice, once again, is a vibrate option for those days. Very disappointed.

Reader and App Error with sensors

Ossie1078

So the site says that I can use the sensor both with the reader and app at the same time as long as I start the sensor with the reader first and then scan the app within 1 hour. This does not work and it’s frustrating having to carry the reader to my job and forgetting it

Not able to connect

Marydo59

I not able to connect iPhone and meter when changing sensor
