Helpful buuuuut…

The fact that I can check my blood glucose when I want is really convenient and I do like most aspects of this system but WOW! is this alarm software lacking! Its almost like it has a vendetta against my productivity! I literally cannot, biologically, keep up with the alarm schedule. It will remind me every 15 or 20 SECONDS when I’m high. I actually have to stop the app and turn off all notifications to even get any amount of sleep if I eat any carbs for dinner. The development team really needs to get on this.

Alarms goes off all the time

Phone constantly beeping and saying it is not picking up the sensor. I had to turn off this alarm. I updated my iPhone 8plus to 15.2 and it still is not working correctly. It does read the sensor when I put it up to my arm then says it can’t find the sensor. Ugh!

Can’t use it

Juan Mann

I was previously on the freestyle 14 day system and had the corresponding iOS app. When I switch to the freestyle 2 System, I had to install the corresponding app for that version of the device. However, I deleted it when I discovered that it would not work with a sensor that was previously activated by the dedicated reader.I want to be able to use the dedicated reader and my cell phone interchangeably. This version of the app would not let me do that.

Same issues as other users

I have the same complaints as the other reviewers on here. I am forced to turn off the notifications when I sleep, in my house, at work, pretty much all the time because I can’t have the thing beeping obnoxiously loud, even when it’s only “my sensor reader has lost signal”. I second everyone who requests a silent/vibrating/text message notification. This issue makes it unusable and I’m looking for another option.

Just installed and already uninstalling and ripping off the sensor

Devs/CTO/whoever makes decisions… please remove the need to have critical alerts. Keep it as an option. But my sugar lvls are not bad enough to make this a mandatory setting. —*** ok after going back into the app, you can turn off that alert. Kinda would be nice if y’all could give instruction on this instead of an IT professional searching for it. If I didn’t know about it, do you the the average user would???*** Devs also, why does this app not have the capability to have background app refresh instead of HAVING to keep the app open? That’s the whole point to that setting.

Frustrating

IOS Compatibility - Had to wait 3 months to use app after tuning off IOS Updates because the App wasn’t compatible with the IOS version. Now the app compatibility isn’t keeping up with updates so I’m not sure how long I’ll have to wait to update my phone. Alert - the alert volume is supposed to correspond with the alarm volume I set. Yet no matter what I do it’s always ear-piercingly loud. Charting - I’ve had two low-level alert neither of which show up on the graph nor the alert summary. I want to switch back to the reader but cannot for two weeks because the app doesn’t allow switching until the sensors two week life cycle ends.

Bad algorithm

Why does the alarm have to go off literally 3 seconds after I just checked my glucose and then informed the app that I was giving insulin. There is a simple if then statement that could be introduced: time = 10 minutes IF glucosreadtime <= time AND fastacting insulin = TRUE THEN dontannoythepatientwithasuperflousalarm I just checked my sugar and stated I gave insulin don’t blare the annoying alarm. I know my sugar is high. I just checked it and gave insulin for it you useless app Same goes for lows and inputting carbs eaten to correct. Hilariously as I’m writing this my alarm went off again when I already checked it and corrected for my insulin. Please fix this.

Should have just stuck with needle pokes.

Flat out doesn’t work half the time. I work a very hard job and these sensors never last more than 7 days before it’s just error message after error message. Constantly wanting me to wait 10 minutes for a scan. I wait the 10 minutes then guess what it wants me to wait another 10 minutes. Such a waste of money. Who develop this thing needs to go back to drawing board. It’s trash.

My god they got it wrong

Zuco9090

I don’t know whose bright idea this new app is but god they completely messed up everything that was good about the first sensor! The app is horrible! Why do I need Bluetooth on at all times for the app? And why can’t I shut off alarms or make them silent? Give me the option don’t force me to have critical alerts on. Only reason I switched to Libre 2 because it’s cheaper monthly and now I see why. Gonna go back to Libre 1 after this month specifically due to the app and just how terribly they fumbled with this app. Work on improving this app and actually listen to the people that actually have to use it every day!!

Pretty much terrible

I was initially excited when my endocrinologist said that the Libre 2 was “more accurate” and didn’t need a reader to start sensors. When I got the sensors, I went through THREE before getting a filament to successfully seat into my arm. The needle would puncture then skin, but the filament kept getting bent and would lay parallel on top of the skin. It would let me start the sensor, but then I’d immediately go to sleep only to be awakened by a notification system that doesn’t allow you to turn off notifications (even in “sleep” or DND mode) and still be able to use the app. These sensors and this app are just awful. I’m going to have to contact my endo to renew my prescriptions for the original Libre.
