The App is Good - The 1 star ratings are stupid

The app works very well. I am a very frequent Delta traveler, and I do everything with the app - booking, check in, seat changes, and boarding passes. It does what a casual or power traveler needs in a very straightforward manner. If you read all the 1 star reviews, most are complaining about customer service or flight cancellations, not the app specifically. Ignore them. The app crash reports are what help developers fix bugs, so those are important. Too bad so many people think complaining here will get them to their destination faster.

I previously only used this app to check in, and pay for baggage fees with the check in. Today I booked a flight within 10 minutes. Very happy that it worked flawlessly during my transaction. I've never had a bad experience with the app my experiences have been all good.

Lost flights

The app drops flights after the scheduled departure time. As a result, delayed flights disappear. Tracking and rebooking a delayed flight should be one of the key features of the app but instead it is impossible. Thanks for falling on your face again Delta.

Crashes when I try to sign in

A flight attendant showed me some tips like being able to see where the plane is while flying. It accessed the onboard wifi without any problem to read basic data. It also gave me gate information for my connecting flight before I landed. Discovered the entertainment portion is only single use unless you want to pay $16 per movie. My flight was cancelled and the app alerted me and gave me options and allowed me to book a new flight while everyone else was still waiting in line. Most useful airline app I've used yet.

Boarding Pass Disappears

I've used this app for years. It's always been straight forward and relatively easy to use. I flew last week and when I went to check-in I discovered that the app crashed each time I tried to log-in. I read many reviews stating a similar experience, and I assumed that the app dev team would be putting out a fix ASAP. Not the case, I fly again tomorrow and still app crashes at each log-in attempt. What happened, Delta?

Overall, the app is great, but I have a couple areas for improvement: 1- You need an "eject button", just something that gets you to the homepage of the app in one tap. This is especially apparent with how many taps there are to get home when you add your boarding pass to passbook. It's like 5 taps, and they are not even in the same spot. 2- Data updating. Pretty annoying how seat upgrades, points, medallion status MQMs, and many other items aren't anywhere close to real time. This needs some work. Start with the MQMs, then the seat upgrade list. 3- Seat upgrade list often doesn't appear at all on the list. As someone who get upgraded about 1/2 the time, it would be really nice if this were totally reliable. Often times, it's not in the app, or on any screen at the gate- that is frustrating. 4- Learn that you are now a digital company that flys planes. This is a digital world, and digital should be first. Customer communications, app enhancements, web UI cleanup etc. Thanks for caring. I love Delta and would love it more with these 3 enhancements (the last one is just general feedback).

Has all the right functionality. But doesn't work - keeps saying that it can't detect an internet connection (which can't be right - I am leaving this review using the Internet at a Delta gate).
