No busses on any dates I need?

Pie In The Eye

Looked for a trip from Berkeley to Ontario, Berkeley to San Diego, Berkeley to Los Angeles, Berkeley to Anaheim - all I get is a message saying “no routes that day, pick another day”. No matter what days I pick there’s never a route. Completely useless app.

Good bus ride

Online shopping and reservation was easy to navigate and simple. Bus departed and arrived on time and loading/unloading was efficient, if somewhat disorganized. Condition of bus was good. Seats were clean. Bathroom however needed cleaning and the soap dispenser refilled. Bottom line, as a medium distance bus service I thought it was fine.

User unfriendly App

User unfriendly app and not up to date. A challenge to use and navigate through the app

A good Start

Need GPS tracking to improve understanding of bus arrivals times. Need to improve easy of finding bus stop locations in the app. Service is good.

We were short one seat in our car with family visiting so I decided to try FlixBus from L.A. to Palm Springs, and back. On the good side, I did reach my destination, and it was pretty reasonably priced, The a/c worked, and the trips were relatively quick, especially the LA to Palm Springs route from Union Station due to the dedicated bus lane which avoided a backed up freeway. Also, the bus driver offered free head sets, a nice touch. The pick up spot by Union Station was a smelly parking lot with no bathroom, no shade, and no amenities except for street vendors. I did get a text informing me that the bus would be 10-20 minutes late. When it arrived we were hurriedly seated, with no consideration to people who had paid extra for specific reserved seats. Since my seat was taken, I grabbed another one and sat. I was asked to move by the bus driver when the passenger who’s seat I had taken began to have a fit. I asked him to show me to a seat, and he instructed me to take an empty one up front. Once I settled in, the ride was relatively comfortable and quick. The drop off in N. Palm Springs was next to a gas station. I was able to get an Uber within 10 minutes. Going back to LA, my Uber driver had a bit of trouble finding the address for the pickup location. Once again, an even more smelly, unshaded spot, next to a gas station with flies and stench of urine. The 110 degree heat made it almost unbearable. The mini market that is right there, for some reason was closed for all but the last five minutes before the bus arrived, 10 minutes late, so no place to get away from the heat. Since there’s no dedicated bus lane going west, we did run into a bit of traffic. Once I got to Union Station I decided FlixBus would be my last choice if I was going somewhere. It will get you there, but it may be hot and smelly waiting for it.

I will never use this service ever again!!

The worts experience ever. Traveling from San Francisco to Sacramento, the bus supposed to be at the station at 7:50am and it never came! You guys made me look bad with my client who were waiting for me in Sacramento.

This was my first time riding with FlixBus and honestly, it's so worth it. Our driver was very professional and the most important a great driver.

6X time using this service and a great alternate to greyhound. Haven’t been disappointed yet and while some pick up stop locations are questionable in their visibility (at night) which a small correctable thing, The app navigation is solid.

The absolute worst bus experience I’ve ever had. There is no label or specific location in regards to their stops and they don’t have a clue about the whereabouts of thier buses. I waited at the bus stop 30 min prior to arrival to make sure and didn’t miss the bus. The thirty minutes passed and I figured it was just a bit delayed and well after 20 minutes it’s was too much so I looked for a costumer service number on the website and app and it was no where to be found! I had to google search for the number. Then I was on hold for 40 min! When they picked up they didn’t know where the bus was and asked me to call back? Knowing darn well I had waited 40 min just to get that response. After bothering them I finally got a bus but it wasn’t but 2 hours late by the time it came by! They will not notify you if a bus is cancelled or simply not coming. I was almost left stranded. Mega bus will save you this hassle please don’t use their services, you don’t want the be in that position I promise.
