Just a cash grab app

please fix or app is bad

I would suggest to not download this game. It was fun for a couple of months but it is very clear to me now that it is just a cash grab. You can spend $1000 pulling for the unit you want on their banner and still not get the unit you want. This game has zero consistency and the support team is terrible. They hide behind “it’s a random system” as if they can’t fix it or make the pity system better. Save your money for a game where you can actually play what you pay for. $1000 down the drain and didn’t even get the unit I was after. No point in playing this game anymore.

So bloated with systems it hurts

Danes Bane

Tl;dr: too many systems blocking fun. Too Grindy for f2p. I was a huge fan of FF Tactics and went in mildly optimistic. The cluttered home menu should have been to my dismay but I soldiered through in hopes of fun. And on paper it should be. The animations are great, the map lay outs are solid. But *every* single thing is gated behind some convoluted system. The weapons have an upgrade system. The armor pieces have an upgrade system. The cards, the Espers, the units have ability, limit breaking and “rarity” breaking. Nothing is just “hey here’s a unit with some cool abilities.” First you need to level, summon more of them to limit break, farm a ridiculous amount to unlock the ability to unlock skills, farm more for the currency to actually unlock the skills. Repeat for every unit you’d like to even glance at. And they throw so much of the “premium” (which is separate from the paid premium) currency in hopes you stay. But by the time you’ve farmed enough to get your units to have more than 2-3 active skills, you realize you could have just played ff tactics.

Terrible design

Can’t even get past the beginning menu screen or connect to FB to bind/login to my account. Is it supposed to be designed to just not be accessible for new folks?

Screw auto play!

vapeoilsalesman

Was excited to check this game out because it looked like ff tactics but more modern and improved looking. Come to find out it is riddled with gacha elements, Chinese game design, and auto play. Such a disappointment

Over complicated but enjoyable game play

This game peaked my interest because I love FFT. The gameplay for the story is great! However outside of that it’s mediocre at best with an odd focus on automation, and to many in game currencies. During the story you can level and control your team but if you want to join a guild and do a guild battle it’s automated, ranked PVP in the arena? It’s automated. Then the in game currency it starts with visiore and Gil which seems normal. However there is then purchased visiore which is separate and what you purchase with it is cheaper. Then you have arena currency for when you pvp but that’s different from pvp currency from when you casual match, then guild currency, friend currency, raid currency soul currency, vision currency and when you spend visiore to pull characters a currency for each pull that can’t be spent for more pulls just to help you if you get what you want from the pull. The game is only 6months old but already feels dated and the cross over characters which should bring fun to it you can only develop during their event so if you don’t max them out before the event ends they are worthless. With no follow up events several of your favorite characters then sit in your team to weak to be used.

Great but requires a lot of planning

Anarchy type 2

This is one of the few F2P games where you are given a lot of The gacha currency daily. It is extremely generous each day with the awards where you will feel that it is too good to be true and I have good and bad news for that. YES it is too good to be true. You may be wondering why I gave it 5 stars despite this but you need to hear me out on this one. Firstly the real reason it is too good to be true it is because once you obtain a character or characters of MR or UR range you will notice there are level caps on the character(s) that is because the game has a “shard” system that limits your character progress. Once you obtain the character you were aiming for you will have to buy shards with visiore (gacha currency) from the shop daily, every 6hrs with whimsy special shop if you desire which gives featured units as a bonus to buy more shards. If you are new to the game because of a certain character you WILL struggle. Obtaining a character takes ALOT of resources and those resources come mostly from logging in daily. The biggest con is mostly for new players, even if you get the character you want you will face difficulties and hardship to max out the character specially if not aware of the shop refresh hours and shop rerolling tactic, however you will eventually get another chance with featured character events where they are back in the gacha and as shards in shop. Before you pull you have to be fully prepared. 20-30k Visiore is usually a safe point when maxing a character that is released. Do not go for each character that looks like waifu material, focus on 3 characters. When a featured event with your character is released , focus on the shop rerolling with your visiore to finish your character sooner. My greatest tip is to join the game now before a character like Cloud or Sephiroth is added so you can stockpile to max them out on release or risk them being limited units.

Yikes

Mackerel McCool

At least the original BE actually gave you decent chances to acquire new and better characters; this gacha system is brutal. Save your money—and your sanity—and pick up something else.

Limited Unit Shards?

Robert Falden

I understand having limited units, but why limit their shards also? At least keep them in the whimsy shop. Otherwise, there’s just a bunch of useless units like the thancred I have and probably like my Fryevia is going to be

It’s great but not for everyone

redrumemag

This is more of a classic FF type game grind. It’s also a slow burn. Any unit is viable, every comp can be countered, they just require more thought and effort. Variety of content - Tower is the best and PVP is pretty awesome.
