Great game, major pay wall.

I enjoy the game on a daily basis. Highly recommend. Disliked the fact that I purchased the 80$ starter bundle and grabbed Mediena as the free UR... then she went free in an unlimited bingo. Very discouraging after putting $500+ into the game. Would be 5⭐️ if they’d make up for that.

Excessive grinding

Good things first: the game itself is fine (an FFT clone basically), and the gacha is actually quite generous and reasonably f2p friendly, with all the free crystals they give you (unless you want to be seriously PvP competitive of course). The way the gacha works is weird (upgrading characters to the point of them being useful is far more expensive & time consuming than actually getting them, so you need to spend all your crystals on upgrades, rather than the gacha itself), but I can live with that. The UI is not great, but passable. Graphics look a bit wonky on my iPhone 7, but perhaps that’s what I get for not having the newest model. My main problem is that the amount of mindless grinding it wants you to do is far beyond any other game I’ve played, and I’ve played a few. Raid events are the worst, but even beyond that, you, for example, need to play 1000 battles for each character/esper pairing to reach full potential (skip tickets don’t count, and don’t work outside of story missions anyway), grind for mats/gold/etc. Be prepared to leave your phone on & playing itself for many hours daily (at least the game has auto play, to its credit). Weapon upgrade system is complicated far beyond any reason, requires tons of luck, and yes, more grinding. And if that wasn’t enough, material drop rates have recently been further reduced. I don’t have time for this, so back to Langrisser mobile (which is a much better game anyway).

Tactics EXVIUS

Gyromaddox

I am a die hard FF addict. Loved the concept of brave EXVIUS and now a tactics version. It’s possible to play without paying, just try to pay attention to material usage.

Story

my hands are burning

I wish the story was more interesting. Maybe a map like FFT would help me understand where all the events are happening.

Amazing

tskumii

I love 8/10ths of the final fantasy series and I have to say having a turn based tactical rpg again is amazing

Can’t get past the start screen

MAChavk

I tap on the screen to play but it says connecting then does a few flashes and it’s still on the start screen.

Wonderful Nostalgia!

DJ_Doublelock

If you enjoyed playing Final Fantasy Tactics, this is the game for you! There seems to be an even mix of serious and casual players, so there’s no pressure. This is probably one of the only games I will play on my mobile device. –Lenatex

Absolutely Wonderful Game!

CrusaderOfValor

I grew up playing FF games and have thought the tactical versions were extremely fun which is what drew my attention to this one. It has been beyond expectations in visual graphics, storyline, and gameplay. This game has the potential to be everything FF fans need to make this a long time experience with job class training and character combinations. So far the only thing I found lacking is being able to go to the store for items such as Phoenix downs, and status remedies, though they appear periodically if you keep checking. If there was anything I would add to the game to make it better, it would be Phoenix downs and status remedies always available. I really appreciate all the work that’s went into this game! Thank you!
