I have to give this app a solid 1* due to the fact that the Japanese version of the game has an option to delete your account in-game which allows you to start a new account (reroll) a lot easier. Mobile games nowadays with gacha features are all about rerolling at the start of a game, and it is nice when games make it so that process is easier. But this company has decided to make it harder despite the fact that option was already there. Especially in times where we have a pandemic going on in the world, this filthy greedy company is still all about profits. Edit: I am adding more here because there are convenient bugs that help out the developer. There are a lot of bugs that will allow you to watch a video to summon or refresh NRG, but you only get 3 a day. But if you get low on NRG it will still ask you if you wish to watch a video to refresh it, but not refresh. So you waste your time watching a video that does nothing but help this greedy company get more money. And when it asks if you wish to do your free video summons, it will default to the non-free video, so you could easily accidentally click on the wrong summon thanks to this “bug/glitch”. This game is already as greedy as it can get, but can you at least try not to scam people purposely?

First I want to say that I was very excited to play a well made tactical game. It looks great, however, less than five minutes into the game I was given a female character that had one of her breasts completely exposed other than the nipple was strategically covered by the battle graphics. I understand that a little sex appeal sometimes helps developers sell a game, though I personally don’t like that content in my games, but this goes WAY over that line. I’m disgusted with Square Enix. This is offensive to me and as a parent I’m a little concerned that more isn’t being done to keep this kind of content away from kids. This is rated 12+ how??? I’d be horrified to find this kind of content on my 14 year old son’s phone! I’ve played a lot of Final Fantasy games over the years, but never again. I’ll also make sure my kids never download anything from Square Enix. How has this great company sunk to this this level?

I did the preregistration and have played since it came out like many others did, also I’m F2P and having plenty fun. Cons: -Arena: the auto AI is terrible and I feel like it’s worse on your team than the opponents team. -Auto: the AI doesn’t learn from your movements or copy. There is a way to turn off abilities but that would turn off all abilities. -units/cards: there are A LOT of different materials, some of which do overlap across all characters but others overlap for class. A lot of grinding is needed to max your characters. -banner summons: there’s a differentiation between paid and free gems so I won’t be able to pull on anything that is paid only Pros: -Story: self explanatory, it’s really good -events/training: (as of this writing) materials are available for grinding, there’s a few that are limited for the day and others that aren’t so you can get materials needed to max your units. -units: just because it’s not the highest rarity doesn’t mean a unit is bad. There’s many great units that aren’t in the UR category. And the way materials are set up is so that you can really only do a couple at a time. This helps to reduce the power gap that gets created with P2W & F2P. -equipment/cards/espers: when you pull the vision card of the Esper, the Esper also comes. These give a variety of effects and there’s plenty to use for different situations. -free shard/video summon

I never review anything, and sure, this is a fun game while we’re all trapped at home in quarantine, but it has such awful writing, I’d really recommend pressing skip over any of the “story” scenes. It’s embarrassingly nonsensical and clunky. SQEX, your US office is literally in LA, why didn’t you hire an actual dialogue writer to translate this properly???

Don’t need to pay to actually feel competitive. My only gripe is I am unable to perform free video summons. Every time I try, it says “Video is Unavailable” Please fix it this! I am missing out on free summons and visore Other than that, it’s a great game

Stop reading and give this a try if you ever liked FFT. The nostalgia is surprisingly welcomed. Gameplay is similar to FFT but the progress system is like most mobile games, require grinding. With that in mind the game is still very enjoyable for all levels of effort. One thing is clear you will not run out of things to do.
