Beautiful on iPad Air 3rd

Hypermania

Game is beautiful on iPad Air 3rd. Sound is better on iOS than on Android. 4 stars because gem packages are moo. Update: After about 1 month, I have been incredibly tired & have had to all but stop playing. Auto repeat only works if you are strong enough to do the stage by yourself.

Great game with major flaw

Lucimon

Aside from the usual great reviews you can include most the amazing comments for me as well however ~ the major flaw in this game vs tactics is that AI was actually tactical in tactics but in here the AI is suicidal (referencing to the computer side AI) the game quickly runs out of challenge and becomes very easy to predict enemy AI. I could understand AI for player side being basic as to prevent full automation which makes sense you gota earn your achievements as much as possible. But in the arena the AIs both just literally gungho to death and avoid survivability or to actively hunt crystals for opportunities to turn the tide. In terms of story and idea I give 5 stars but the value in spending cash really belongs to just gota have characters ~ the game quickly loses challenge and becomes extremely predictable with regards to the AI. Therefore it loses two stars until the AI is matching that of Tactics. If your Gona follow Final Fantasy Tactics you need to live up to the challenge that tactics held within it. This game is super easy mode and is annoying to watch the arena AI go at it. Update ~ 1 month later the AI still busted and increases level of aggravation reduced stars to 1

Why?

Instead of giving us a console experience, we get a mobile gatcha with the same music for darn near every battle. I’m done.

An unfinished game: SE and Gumi, do not abuse your player base.

Azaariel

Your work on this game, Square Enix, is lackluster and shameful. The UI is poorly designed, lacks polish, and is clunky to navigate. The story needs serious edits, with characters acting without any sensibility. You chose to write a story of warring kingdoms. Now give it life. It is my hope that the English translations of this story will grow to be more mature and complex. Your audience are not children—present to us a meaningful, complex, worthwhile story that we have come to associate with Final Fantasy titles. The art and unit designs are charming, which are usually the main appeal of these types of games. The gameplay itself can be enjoyable and, at present, the community is expecting harder game modes that will evoke the tactician in us. Unfortunately, it is difficult to fend off the feeling that WoTV is yet another low-effort money-grab by Gumi. It is unfortunate that Square Enix, being such respected game-makers have fallen so low with these gacha-game tactics to leech money from players without guarantees that your money or time will reward you for your effort or contribution. This title needs a stronger reward system. It also appears that the Japanese version of this title is more generous with gifts for players. Do not abuse your new global player base. This version also has video ads, reducing the overall perceived quality of the game. It’s as if SE has no faith that this game can do well on its own, when it very much has the potential to be great. I’d like to see the game last for years as the game’s global director envisions, but the developers must put in the work to create a what could be a memorable work of art.

Love the game - load times are horrible

Chrisfix

Honestly not great in comparison to original Tactics, but incredible for a free iOS game. Please fix the loading time, though. Every time you press a button, there is an EASY 5-10 seconds of loading time, EVERY TIME and there is A LOT of button pressing between windows.

Stars...

Was happy to pay upfront for Final Fantasy Tactics. I would have been happy to pay up front for another great game, but this is only a money grab. The integrity of the game is lost when all I have to do is pull my card out to get better.

Decent game under the gross UI and F2P experience

Defacid

Some great ideas and systems with decent story, sans the filler, that would have been good as a stand-alone game but I cannot recommend it to anyone because the experience is so damaged by the plethora of pop ups and alternative currencies and loot boxes and timers and messages and overcomplicated growth system synonymous with games of this type. I’m only so annoyed because gameplay wise this game could have been amazing.

Whhhhhy

One of the best games ever was FFT. This game does good for what it is. A gacha game. You get tons of free crystals so without whaling you can play the game. Here’s the issues. 1. PvP is a joke. You get matched unevenly all the time. 2. Guild war same concept and most guilds kick you for being inactive for a day. 3. By far the worst problem is the terrible connection issues. No matter what time of the day your playing or how good your internet is. Expect 5-7 restarts, 10-15 second wait times for screen loads, constant loading accepting gifts and trying to get the dang thing to start a mission with a companion lags half the time also.

Love this game

Whiteninjaluke

I’ve been a long final fantasy fan and I have enjoyed the tactical ones as well. This ff has a great depth in the game, awesome art work and everything you could ask for. It’s not a pay to play or anything like that. It’s a solid ff that has a huge grind

Call it FFT Untold tales

DemonTamer

if u got ramza and geff, it’s basically a new FFT game. tons of content and good story so far, VAing is on point as well. Question, is there anyway to change the main battles to the FFT battle music? that way we can hear the FFT battle music in the story and other modes as well? now that will really turn this almost into a real remake of FFT.
