Good Game / Shady Gacha Tactics

Reading some reviews and couldn’t agree more. I think the game is well built with a good story and mechanics. There issues, the in game currency requires you to pay to get certain items. It’s not like you can grind it out to get those items, you actually need to pay to get a specific “paid” version of the currency. The second negative is the consumption of time. This requires a lot of play and its not convenient for a casual player.

Great game for the hardcore

This game is a slow grind, sloooow griiiiind, but totally playable without microtransactions. Just play it slow, and enjoy. :)

Very dissatisfied

Once again FFBE, falls short. Overall, decent experience, however, the game falls victim to the pay to play mentality. The drop rates for banner characters is far too low. The whole point of playing a game is to have fun. Rolling to get characters is a terrible idea, as you are not guaranteed to get the character at all. I spent over 20,000 crystals and still did not get my desired character. This kills the game experience for me and is the reason I deleted the original FFBE. Stop being greedy and incorporate a more fair experience for players.

Imagine farming for months to max out a unit you know is coming then imagine spending real money plus 20k gems and not getting him now you wasted time farming the mats and money and gems

Trash banner rates

When you spend 40k plus gems to try to get the unit you want saving since day one and don’t get it is literal trash. .08002% doesn’t cut it when other games with the same system have over 7% on banner rates and have step ups to get what unit you want. Been playing FFBE for years and there rates are 100% better then this money trash grab of a game. Not worth you’re time if it’s just gonna shaft you like that.

Auto demotion of guild leader

I WAS a guild leader with a slowly growing guild but lately been feeling under the weather so I haven’t logged in for alittle, well they auto demoted me from guild leader which is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, if you plan on having a guild, be prepared to be on the game every day no matter what happens in your life cause the game will take away that which you worked hard to start up and build, for that reason I give this game a 1 star and I’ve since deleted the game

So confusing to play

This game looks and sounds beautiful. However the learning curve is insane! There so much you have learn and manage, it is ridiculous. It is no wonder the game just makes you auto play right away. Also the P2W and P2P aspect of this game just ruined it for me. So much potential only to be ruined by a pay wall.

Just to make it clear. I love all things final fantasy. I do not love the monster that owns the title. While this review is negative I want it known the art is beautifully done and made the game worth playing even though I lost interest and became frustrated. First I play on a newest version iPad. This game shouldn’t have load issues causing it to error. Every other quest I’m back at the title screen for an unknown error. Heavy gacha system that is way overpriced. Usually these games have a decently balanced pay option allowing you to support the creators and feel like they gave you something in return. This does not... who charges the purchase price of a console game for dlc? Several items are eighty bucks a piece... that’s a week of groceries. Think I’m cheap? I own the last Disgaea and all dlc before any discounts or deals. Tactical rpgs are my favorite game style and this game feels empty. The story is very predictable. The characters lack impact. The fights don’t require any strategy unless you are doing the missions. The art is beautiful but few moves make use of it. Those that do require you to build up points to use them so you might see an esper once if at all. But do you even have the one you want to see? Gacha is just that. Gotcha. You like this character? You can try to get it but good luck. I’d go download ff tactics and spend time on that instead but the port was badly done from what I hear. Square why can’t you show your fans some love? Guess I’ll just dust off my ps one and break out the original.

Needs to fix the pay to win aspects and work on advertisement

Fantastic game, but gacha system is greedy and there is pay to win aspects. Resources aren't easy to get either. The chat system is badly done. No one knows about the other channels. Overall, game is great and you can still compete against pay to win people with time, effort, and strategies. They adding auto-repeat is one of the best things ever.
