Great Game Old Flaws

Rio Sazuki

Square Enix has done it again, being a long time Final Fantasy fan and playing nearly every mobile game released by Square Enix I’m sad to say the follow a similar pattern of releasing pay to win games then later adjusting it. The game itself is great and mechanics are respectable, but to obtain any unit, esper, or vision card of value you’re almost required to pay or grind the limited amount of visiore available for the 2% summon rates. It is this reason why I uninstalled Final Fantasy Brave Exvius so long ago and why I may uninstall Final Fantasy War of the Visions today.

Needs Improvement

Wushu Tiger

First of all it’s a fun game and has potential but a few things will keep it from being better: 1. The paid content which isn’t required is ridiculously expensive. The go-to price point seems to be $80 spent on overcoming barriers that exist solely to get you to spend your way past them, or on trying to get the good units you need to be competitive. In their defense, they give you the odds of getting a certain character per draw, and it’s usually <1%, often <0.1%, and at about $1.60 per draw at that rate. 2. Buggy as heck. Long load times for everything (and they love to put up notification flags steering you to click on things it may take over a minute to get to, just for nothing). I can’t count how many times I get ready to start a battle and get an error that forces me alllll the way back to the title screen. Huge waste of time. 3. Battles take way too long but if you spend money if course they go faster. 4. PvP seems rigged. First of all it’s not always actual PvP, it’s your team vs another character’s team who is not otherwise involved in the battle. AI controls you and them, so you’re really putting your AI against the server AI pretending to be another player. My units are pretty strong but I can easily lose to people 1/3 my rank and 10-20 levels below my units. Why do they do this? To make you feel the need to boost your characters, of course by spending money. It has a lot of potential, it just needs to stop playing to the whales and focus on broader appeal with staying power. At this rate the game may not last a year, so I won’t be spending any money. I’ve been down this road far too many times.

Long time fan, not disappointed.

Big FF fan and this is pretty true to the original PS1 tactics game. It has the familiar Gacha B.S but is reasonable to play free. I toss a dollar here or there to give support.

Hard to control

KfedConroy

This games targeting for tiles is very poor. It’s nothig like tactics intuitive targeting. Many times it prompts attacks on ally units by default. Also it’s hard to distinguish ally from enemies. A lot of camera and triple selecting tiles is required to get to a desired spot. Maybe it’s better on an iPad than an iPhone XS.

Gacha in every way possible

Mr.PsyDRa

As expected! Great and beautiful game but GACHA HEAVY! There is no way in hell that you can move up the ranks in pvp unless you pay heavily.

Faithful to original in some ways

v0ye

+A new tactics game with exciting new mechanics. Pay to play not a MUST in PvE. Classic soundtrack. - PvP aggressively pay to win. Even then AI is absolutely horrible and will do the same moves every match regardless of enemy including healers. It healing and ignoring weak/one shot enemies. Ramza is the cost of a brand new console game.

Avoid

buggy and crashes every 2 minutes

Great game but

Khulley

I hate how certain purchases are separated from currency you earn and currency you buy, it’s a dumb greedy ploy that shouldn’t exist. It should be the same regardless whether you grinded for it or paid for it. Other then that I like the game. Updated, this game is straight up robbery considering how low the drop rate for good characters are. Overpriced p2w, it give you a taste of what you would hope would be something FFT in spirit but your ultimately reminded it’s a free game and realize you would rather just buy a game outright instead of waste your money on this garbage.

Good Game, terrible upgrading system.

Bloodpheen

The game is fun. You can get UR characters being a F2P player. The catch is the limit break system. You either save your visiore and blow it all for just one character to limit break them fully, or to pay up. I understand F2P games need to make money somehow, but this really kills it for me. I would spend money for cosmetics. I would never spend money to just lvl up my characters. I got Cid from the limited time event, but the only way to max him out is to pay up, unless I saved all my visiore for just that one character. Normally that wouldn’t be bad because maybe I could just summon him randomly after the event and get shards or do the daily for his shards and get a small amount a day, but after the event he’s gone. If I don’t max his limit break before then end of the event. I probably won’t get another chance unless it rolls back around next year.
