Was 5 stars. Opening the app and you’ll see black instead of the camera. You see the interface, but not the scene you want to film. I’m hoping an update soon, because I won’t be happy to lose $15. I deleted and reinstalled the app twice without any success on the iPhone 11 Pro

I am not aware of the developer team size but for an application claiming to have earned it chops on some serious projects a lot of “quirks” remain. While many other applications offer higher frame rates at higher resolutions, a more intuitive user interface (most of which are far more pleasant on the eye), a high frequency of updates making major steps of improvement, and only enabling functions when they all work and with a much lower failure rate, Filmic Pro does not none of these consistently. Further coupled with large promises and no clear development window it’s been quite a frustrating user experience. Will check back however in the future to see if they decide to change their game plan but for now this Application leaves much for want.

It’s been 3-months since the keynote and I bought this app before reading the description that multi-camera support is still not supported. This app and its iPad companion are pretty awesome. This app will get 5-stars once they get multi-camera support working, which apparently is coming in Jan-Feb 2020. As a fellow developer, I understand the complexity involved, which is why I was super impressed by the keynote demo! Can’t wait to use this feature myself.

I got this app at the same time I got my iPhone 11 Pro Max and the DJI Osmo Mobile 3. As of this writing, the app doesn’t fully utilize the capabilities of either. No multi-camera support yet, no support for the iPhone’s ultra wide lens and, although there is a slider for the DJI Osmo Mobile, it must be for an older version of the stabilizer. Do I regret getting Filmic? No, but it wish it would catch up with the hardware I use. I am losing patience.

I use filmic pro for professional shoots and films. So powerful, versatile and simple.

I am writing to say yes the app is great for capturing video via manual controls. However, as I write this it is 12/31/2019 and the Apple keynote stated the multiple camera option would be ready this fall. Well it is almost a new year an nothing! Please don’t lie to the public. ?? Bring the feature out good or bad and we can make improvements from there. In the end I would like to know if the keynote video was real or movie magic. Because it was so misleading.

The app advertises the ability to control all of the iPhone cameras pro functions such as FLAT COLOR profile, yet fails to mention that THERE’S AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO UNLOCK THAT FEATURE! I also haven’t seen any results both from my own use nor Youtube post where someone has gotten pro quality footage using this app. As the title says, it’s simply a worthless app made by con-artist.
