I booked through the Expedia app to get points and I did not receive any. To top it off, the same flight got booked 4 times, I had to call my bank and report it. Now I am paranoid that my flight is going to be cancelled on me last minute for some reason...

I have been an Expedia.com for a long time. I travel pretty often and have Gold+ status. Every time I get emails or speak with a customer service rep, all I ever hear is “have you tried our app? You get dbl the points etc....” I finally said why not give it a try. So far it’s been a terrible experience. 1- looking for flights, the app doesn’t give you ready access to info. Hard to see details regarding flight. The web site is much more mature and better user experience. Ended up going to the web to find the flights I want and then scroll through the app to book 2- trying to book a hotel , you can’t filter by hotel name (tried Renaissance in Baton Rouge) and nothing came up. You are forced scroll through all the listings. Then when I tried to book via the app, I find the app has been down for days. When I call the customer service, they will book the hotel and then they do not give you the dbl points (even though their app is “down”. Lastly, the app does not allow you to book 2 rooms at once.
