Extremely tricky to use. I couldn’t find an undo or alphabetize, or many other editorial abilities they claimed were there.

It’s really hard to type with that bug.

Editorial was THE high-water mark for iOS text editing until it finally became abandoned-ware. It has not been updated in about two years. Positives it had: A Universal App Best ever TaskPaper integration on iOS Markdown, Multi-markdown, Python, native snippets, TextExpander support Full Dropbox support, Custom UI extensibility, User friendly navigational gestures "Folding" text functionality, The once evolving Editorial Community driven workflows If there's wasn’t something Editorial DIDN'T do with text or provide an "Inter-App-Ability" you wanted, you could probably find a workflow that suited your needs, create it, or get help doing so. Lastly: Mr. Zorn had one of the sharpest eyes for UI design detail and code stability. Not sure what happened, but best of luck to him. Best, most powerful, alternative now? Drafts 5.

I used to love this app. But my insertion point is no longer visible when I’m typing. It’s difficult even to see the insertion point before I start typing, and with the first character entered the insertion point scrolls off the screen. Too bad.

Great editor, with Dropbox sync that works like a charm. The only annoyance is that even if it has an auto-capitalization feature, it does not work when creating lists (does not activate when typing ‘* ‘ on a new line).

Well, this app was absolutely fantastic. Best in class, for sure. But it’s sadly been abandoned by the developer, and it’s really out of date now. Even Mac Power Users’ David Sparks and Mac Stories’ Federico Viticci — both previously fervent evangelists for Editorial — have famously moved on. So... don’t waste your time or money on this. Hopefully the developer will surprise us one day with a brand new version 2.0 for iOS 12 or 13.

I’ve used this app for years and really loved. It was extremely disappointing to buy an iPhone XS and realize the developer has not supported the newest displays. Moving on to another text editor.

Used to be the best text editor on iOS. No updates in over a year. Still doesn’t support resolutions of the iPhone X or XS/XR. No support for iCloud Drive. ?
