The playlist management is nice, and Ecoute is generally pretty good, but there are a few long standing bugs: - Loses connection to Las.FM constantly, but doesn't warn you till it's too late. Ecoute apparently doesn't track failed scrobbles, it simply ignores an entire day of music, then asks for the same password yet again. - Randomly quits playing the current track, skips the current track, or otherwise corrupts the current playlist. I've not figured out what triggers this, but it's often when the screen goes to sleep or you switch apps. Ultimately, the app just doesn't do what it claims to do (and that's after testing on a fresh installation of the latest iOS version!).

After latest iOS update, Ecoute is not picking up modifications to smart lists anymore (even when the modifications are visible in the standard Music app). I'm sure it's a result of a change on Apple's side, but this is why apps need to be updated... and this one isn't being updated.

Let me start by saying this is a fantastic alternative to Apples music player for the iPhone. Much easier to find and navigate through your music and it functions more like the older versions of the Apple Music app before all the unwanted changes. My only complaint is with the playlists. I'm someone that is constantly adding/deleting playlists on my iPhone. The problem with this app is when you add a newer version of a playlist, the old version doesn't delete. I have 4 Recently Added playlists in the playlist screen as well as many duplicates of others. Please fix this bug so when a playlist is deleted from the phone it doesn't still display! Same with older versions of playlists.

Exactly what I was looking for as an alternative to the Music app. Just a couple of bugs: Adding songs to the queue sometimes doesn't work. Assume that when you add a song to the queue, it sets it to play next. Then adding another song to the queue would add that song to play after the previously added song. No other apps can get this right. When you add a song to play next, it will sometimes skip the song currently playing or have a little sound gap. Keep up the great work!!

Remember when you could turn on your iPod and it just played music? No "you are currently offline and have no data connection" or crazy layouts to have to sort through. Ecoute is simply an app that will play the music on your phone. End of story. There is a a small caveat however. The app requires Music.app (Apple's default music app) to be installed and Ecoute is essentially just a remote or skin for it so you'll have to dive into the settings on both apps to dial in supreme Offline Goodness. This may be a little complicated for some. But once you get it right - it's the best. Loving music like it was 2005!

I use this as my music player - only thing is it takes long to start playing the initial track and swipe up control opens the Apple Music app, guess the app is using Apple Music in background and is only an interface and not a stand alone app?
