Pretty clown suit for the built in music app and nothing more

Pab Sungenis

Crashes if you try to play an Audible book. Awkward and hard to use. Adds no real new features. Worthless.

Good app, could use some improvement

I LOVE the simplicity of Ecoute! I had grown to really hate how cumbersome Apple’s built-in music player for iOS had become; I felt like I was jumping through hoops every time I wanted to play a song. Ecoute is simple: filter however you want (by artist, album, playlist, etc.); choose your song; THAT’S IT! Shuffle and repeat controls are right there, easy to access. My suggestions for improvement: 1) songs will restart when you lock your phone, whether you press the button to do it manually, or you let your phone auto-lock on its own. It’s very frustrating to get into a good groove, only to have it reset to the beginning of the song again. I hope they fix this, but I will say, I’ve tried other third-party music players and had the same issue, so it’s not a problem that’s unique to Ecoute. 2) it would be nice to have an alphabet sidebar to be able to scroll to a letter, like in Apple Music or your Contacts, but at least there’s a search bar at the top (I like the sidebar better, personally). 3) I love the simple filtering function, but I think it’s a little clunky to get to. Maybe it should be a drop-down menu or something? Or maybe a sidebar on the left side? Or a set of tabs at the very top? Other than those issues, I’m really enjoying Ecoute, and it’s become my go-to music app! :)

even with minor issues it’s great

like so many others i wanted a simple app to play my music in my library on the iphone. ecouté looked right and the good reviews made it worth the price. i love the spare interface and solid performance. fingers are crossed that an update will add ios 12 support and better interrelation with siri. id pay again for an update that provides increased usability without sacrificing the clean stripped-down interface.

Quality music app replacement

RileyWuzHere

My only request for the developers would be to please add the album year to the album info in all places the app displays the amount of tracks and total minutes per album. Otherwise, this is a really great replacement for the stock music app. Hopefully you guys are still showing this app some love. It’s really as beautiful as advertised.

Solid player cleaner than Apple Music

sleovideo

Ive been using this player since Apple Music became cluttered and a sales platform for streaming. I’m happy except a few bugs. One being that anytime a song is playing, and I add a song to the queue or to play next, the currently playing song restarts. Its annoying when building a playlist on the fly. Please fix it! Thanks! -Satisfied User

Bigger font, please

PossumPete

Could really use some user adjustable fonts. With so much screen space available and wasted, it would help make this a better app. And an all black background...

one thing

ChristenB4

is there a reason I still need the apple music app on my iphone, I would like my library to only include ecoute so I can remove the apple icon from mg iphone

Better than Apple Music

Terry Hanson

It’s a better interface than Apple Music. Looks good and clean. I didn’t give 5 stars because I don’t know how to disable shuffle. Also when I play a song I have to select back a few times to actually view the playing of that song incase I want to skip around.

No equalizer

There is no equalizer

I can’t get the stupid app to work.

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkr

I can’t get the stupid app to work. I tried everything all it says is no music. And I paid 99 cents for this
