Poorly designed and execution

I’ve uninstalled the app many times, tried on different devices and it can’t ever find my receiver anymore. It used to but now it doesn’t, please fix the app. I’ve tried on hardwired and wireless.


Keeps losing my receiver

I can’t “find” the receiver in the app, no matter how often I refresh. This started out of the blue. Previously I had stopped using the receiver remote and used the app exclusively.

Why! Why! Why! This app always crashes. It’s not reliable. We use it to control music outside and it’s such a PIA.

The new update has made the already clunky app stop working entirely. Bravo ! Wake up and smell the future Denon !

This app works well one day and not at all the next. Usually when there is an update, the app goes bad. It won’t recognize the device or states that the IP address doesn’t exist even though the less-than-one-year-old Denon receiver is displaying it. One gets the feeling that whomever is writing code for this is either incompetent or that too many different people are involved and are making a mess of it. The Heos app is just as bad. Firmware is up to date, unplugging and replugging has no effect. Good job D&M Holdings, not.


Works great, love it!

I must be in the minority but the app works great for me. I have never had an issue with it not working. I find it extremely convenient versus using the receiver remote. It also has no problem controlling the blu-ray player which is another convenience. I have been very happy with the app and the receiver.

Been using the app with my receiver since purchase with negligible issues. Didn’t know how much I used it until I updated. Receiver has latest firmware update and the app detects my receiver but says it’s not compatible??? Been using it for about a year and never had that message. Another of my devices has the previous version of the app and it still works same as before. Will increase my rating when they fix this.


More bugs than the last version

First time using the new version and it wont change input to tv audio. Well, changes it, but i dont get the tv audio display in the app anymore. Also, doesnt turn off the avr anymore. Power button in app doesn’t work for some reason. Still cant turn on with alexa or choose input. “Sorry, i cannot find a device named den”. Guess i will try changing its name in Alexa. Sometimes i cant change its volume with alexa either. Sometime works setting volume to 55. Sometimes says volume can only be set from 1-10. Wish it worked better. Still no google play music support.

I’ve been using the ap since I’ve purchased the receiver a year ago. I was able to use the ap instead of the remote with no issues. Since the latest update I can no longer detect my receiver on the ap. Please fix this issue
