For me, this app works great. Works a lot better than the ratings would suggest. The only thing I would like improved is updated iPhone X screen. I love that I can use my iPhone volume buttons to control the volume when I’m in the app.


Could be a lot better

Takes around 30 seconds for the app to start, making it almost worthless. Nice idea, though - hope they get it fixed.

I wanted this app to work, was discouraged by the ratings, and am very impressed by how good it is. As long as your phone or tablet are on SAME network as the receiver it all goes smoothly. I had then on different ones at first and it took awhile to figure it out. Once Firmware is updated (there was one in Dec17) app immediately worked and supported most functions of the physical remote. Even better, I don’t need to have the remote out anymore cluttering up the room or getting misplaced. This app works great for me, highly recommend it.


Not loading after last update

The App was working fine until the latest update Jan 2018. When I launch the app it just shows loading and spins and never loads. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same.


Terrible.

App volume resets to receiver startup value

A major bug makes this app all but unusable for the most common use case. With the S730H receiver, every time the app starts, changes the receiver volume, or shows the current volume, the app shows the receiver startup default volume as the current slider value. Changing the volume via the app will briefly take the volume back to the startup value. Every. Single. Time. Someone else reported the same thing for the S710. I can understand shipping such a giant bug particularly if it’s device-dependent, but can’t understand how Denon wouldn’t release an App Store update as soon as they knew about it.

Read a lot of the reviews before downloading as I always do. So I was expecting trouble everywhere but have been pleasantly surprised! Connectivity was simple and hasn’t dropped out since, app does everything I’ve needed to do, and no app freezes or shutdowns... The best thing is not having to search for the remote. I always have my iPhone handy so I wish there was an app for my other remotes.

Purchased a new Denon receiver. Unit had scratches on it as soon as I opened it. Also app does not connect to a brand new receiver. Returned it for the Sony 1080. Denon is trash now and no longer what it was in it’s prime.

I dont know what Denon did but now the app does not work with my receiver, it worked perfectly fine before but now i cant even use anything on the app.


Won’t load after update

It was working very well before latest update. The gets hung up on “loading”. Very disappointing.
