Takes around 30 seconds for the app to start, making it almost worthless. Nice idea, though - hope they get it fixed.
App won’t even open

I bought a HEOS enabled Denon receiver with two additional HEOS speakers about two months ago. Although the speakers are a bit boomy the sound great and the system was fun to use. Now the HEOS app still works fairly well but the this receiver app won’t even open. And before this started happening the app was failing to accurately control the receiver. I would turn the volume up and it would return to its original position a few seconds later. I would have to shut the app immediately so it would not return to the original volume. Now it won’t even open. I have closed and reopened the app, rebooted my phone, and redownloaded the app, all to no avail. Please fix this app! Or I will have to return the whole system.
My app stopped working

I can’t figure out what is wrong. It lost connection to my receiver and when I deleted and reinstall I still cannot get it to work.
Latest update is inoperable

...the new update has cause connectivity problems with the app to the 4400H. Prior to this update, it worked fine..please fix! Thanks...
Still broken with update today

As of today’s update the app is still broken. Never finishes loading. I can’t believe that they don’t seem to actually test this app before they push an update. Come on Denon this is silly the app just doesn’t even load!
Terrible connectivity

When it works great, but 50/50 shot at whether it is going to connect and load properly. Really disappointing considering how much receivers cost and the very basic capability this app provides.

This app has never worked consistently. Sometimes it finds it and other times it doesn’t. The title of the app says it all, “Denon 2016 remote”. Even the name is obsolete. First update I’d do is change the name so people don’t think it’s the old version. I spent $1500 on a 4200x and this never worked correctly. Should’ve bought the Yamaha.

The app is incredibly unreliable and connectivity is spotty at best Would not recommend denon products to anyone as a result of their incompetent app and connectivity App connectivity and remote is critical and Wi-Fi smart homes in this app simply does not work
