Doesn’t work

gogo11392

It won’t even open. I’m on iOS 12.1.2

Not worth it

RoguesNtheHouse

Does not detect my receiver anymore.

Doesn’t work :(

My model is listed as “supported” but the app is unable to find it even though it’s on the same network :(. I used to use the older version of the app (which worked just fine) but now it won’t even open. Just flashes the main screen for a second and then crashes!

Denon AVR App.

Muskie Jeff

I purchased a new Denon receiver just so I could use the app. All of my equipment is tucked away out of sight so the standard remote will not work from my living room. I have been utterly disappointed. It works about 10% of the time. It is very frustrating. Denon obviously did not spend the time to work the bugs out. When it has worked it is great and offers great control features. It just wont find the receiver.

What happened?

Duck005

App worked okay up until a few days ago and now won’t connect to the AVR. Deleted the app and reloaded where the app can see the AVR on the list but when selected all it does is spin... Feels like these D&M creeps want you to get the other app which costs extra (I feel like I already paid when I bought the AVR; most other mfg’s have a complementary app to drive their platforms....).

It wouldn’t load over my iPhone

gregob

Using the Remote app from my iPhone for two months. Went to load it one day and it didn’t load. Anybody have this type of experience? Nice feature. But I can’t use it anymore

Not super reliable. But better than nothing?

PLEASE add a function to toggle ALL ZONE STEREO so I can seamlessly operate “party mode” at my house. Also fix your airplay. My s710w AirPlay always fails to connect and I’m forced to use inferior Bluetooth.

Probably need to start from scratch on this one

Using a receiver with just a remote is confusing unless you understand the whole menu structure and what each button does, an app should fix that right? Not this one, it feels like someone just designed an app to mimic the remote, not an app to control a receiver in an intuitive manner. -Speaker setup needs to be more obvious and have a section devoted to it, not forcing you back through then receivers on screen setup. -Selecting output type on the inputs is really corny, I didn’t even think to tap the button again to change the type, had to hunt around online in forums, this should be a drop down -would be cool if HEOS stuff appeared in here as optional speakers for other room audio. Maybe delays kill that functionality? -the manual needs to include full navigation paths! It doesn’t help to know you can do something if you have to hunt through every menu to look for it. -lots of other random stuff, but it seems like the basis for everything is that it was never designed like an app to control it in an intuitive manner. It was either designed by someone who loves the remote or just to mimic it, either one doesn’t help us out.

The app still stinks

It sounds great, for the 15 minutes before it crashes and says it’s unavailable at this time, try again later. I very much regret buying a Denon receiver because of this crappy app.

Move the Quick Select buttons

kreg37

Please move the Quick Select buttons. Every time I close the app by swiping up, the swiping motion hits one of the Quick Select buttons, changing the receiver source. LITERALLY EVERY TIME. I have to navigate to another page without the buttons and then close the app. Please fix!
