Ice machine and elevator machine room are so loud in my hotel room that I can hear them even with noise canceling headphones on. This says that the sound is between a whisper and normal conversation. It sounds like someone is buffing a floor in the next room.

You want to know how many decibels that subway is, or the loudmouth in the next apartment?? This is the app for you

Would love it, but the measurement values regardless of settings don't seem to correlate to what I expect (compared to trusty RS SPL meter). If there's a discussion on this, I'd be interested.

I could not get my whistle buckle to register over 84 and I know it is louder than that. I got another app that was free and it is showing that the whistle is at 95 which I believe is more accurate than this one I paid for.

It works and it's a very interesting out however I do want everybody to not measure extremely loud sounds because it will break your microphone and damage it over time.

a very handy tool. I keep it on top of the stack. And you will to.

Great app; I use it when testing new pellets out of my D-953. Some pellets shoot at 77db and others shoot up to 105db

I can't believe its accurate. I have a good idea of noise levels from working in industry. I established the readings in noisy environments are 10-20 dBa low.

My needs are not exacting, but often they are less than just curiosity. Likey.
