Used the app for first time. First 7.5 minutes no joke were commercials. Then 2 minutes of news then another 6 minutes of commercials. Seriously is this a joke with alll the options out there??? I get being ad revenue but cmon.

I will start by saying I love quality the news in the CNN app but there is one thing about it that drives me crazy. The app automatically adjusts the volume when switching between commercials and actual news. I can barely hear the news so I put the volume to the Max. And some I’m using noise cancelling headphones to hear better when a commercial comes on it explodes in my ears. There needs to be a setting to adjust this or it needs to be scrapped entirely. I am constantly annoyed by having to make quick volume adjustments or remove my headset when a commercial starts abruptly.

If the cnn app made one thing better I’d give it 5 stars. The save/bookmark icon & share icon is confusing in its placement. I never know if the bookmark for an article is above it or below. If they placed it on the article somehow or in a binding box with the article, versus above or below it would make for a better UX. I always have to scroll up and count and match the bookmarks with the articles to see which one goes with which. Besides that, I love it.

This is the absolute worst app for watching live news. It glitches constantly, never works on my Samsung tv, and makes me re-sign in every time. It is so frustrating I stopped watching cnn completely (I don’t have cable so I was relying entirely on the app). Literally so bad please fix your awful user interface and connectivity issues.

This app, more than any other, fails to maintain AirPlay. It's really shoddy.
