Totally messed up reader

CNET has gone the way of Engadget with its terrible interface in this new 'improved' app. Had I know they were not just upgrading some 'bugs' and fiddling with the reader interface, I would have skipped the upgrade. It reminds me of the useless app for Engadget, which I uninstalled. Looks like I'll be uninstalling this as well. 7 words in the title and a tiny picture is no way to preview an article.

For a so called tech company this is the worst app ever... if it wasn’t for Brian Tong it would not be worth looking at...Come on CBS spend some money to make this a real site to look at. I would give this app minus 10 stars & will delete this poor attempt to call this a tech app & advertisers are waistline their money!!!!!!!!!
Poor performance for a technology reporting app

Really loads slow and sometimes not at all. Poor UI. At least they restored saved articles. Comments never work either. Amazing that a company that reports on technology can’t make an app usable.

How do you have a “news” app where you can’t search for anything except product reviews? And if you get lucky and the product review section actually finds an article you are looking for, it doesn’t allow you to read any of them. You’re better off adding CNET and other tech news sites like ars technica to you’re congregated news feed/app than using this app. Why do videos automatically play when you click on an article? Nothing worse than listening to radio/music and having another app shut it off because it thinks I want to see a video. I have essentially stopped using the app since this update, it’s just bad.
After the update its worse than ever

I was an avid cnet user and it always gave me great source material on buying products , also we could comment on the products .. Now its turned into something else , more social articles rather then electronic devices no more commenting allowed The new app is just horrible and as of dec1 2017 i deleted it
