This feels like a stripped down Lite version. Save articles for later? Gone. Persistent video across articles? Gone. Darker background that isn’t harsh on the eyes? Gone. This version is a downgrade in every possible way. Update: The update was updated again. It’s just as useless as before. What a dumpster fire... Update 2: Bookmarks are back! Now with no easy way to bookmark an article without going to the article first! Like accessing your bookmarks the dumbest way possible? Well this update is for you! Now you get to click several extra times than is necessary!

The CNET team listened and put in a setting to allowed users to turn off autoplay videos. Good job, app is really good and not annoying now.

There needs to be an option to turn off video autoplay. It is very annoying. There is an option on CNET.com, there should be an option in the app. Update: Thanks for adding this option!

They need to tweak a couple things, not HUGE but minor things like; when I want to watch a video in “panoramic” simply turning my iPhone into “panoramic” nothing happens. You have to hit the symbol for “panoramic” and there you go, for me the process is almost archaic. BUT AGAIN, great app.
YOU DESTROYED A ONCE GREAT APP

For the past year or so now, you have bricked a once great app and created a monstrosity. You decided to DELETE everyone's saved stories and links, which is just plain unacceptable. You also cannot even search for news stories anymore. And don't even get me started on the ads. So freaking unprofessional and glitchy, constantly opening new windows to safari with garbage unsafe ads. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, and you should be to. For shame.

Horrible. Diagonal line??? Couldn't think of another way to waste screen space??!!! And let’s not forget to waste battery too with white backgrounds. What time is it? I don’t know. Let me kill the CNET app to see (you can’t see the time in the app). The old app handled videos much better, to say the least. But, I regress,.. wait, NO, it’s You CNET that has regressed. It’s a horrible app, considering the size and power (and the freakin industry it covers!!!!!!!) of the company from which it comes. Horrible.

Update 02/16/18 - Here is a possible solution to most users biggest complaint! Separate the articles from the video!!! Bring back our shows like Tech Daily, The Buzz Report, CNET on cars, crave, The Fix, The 404, prizefight, CNET tech review. Just some examples but I’ve been regularly watching since 2006/2007 and now I’m lucky if I even check in once a week. Your content is terrible and the delivery is abismal at best! Your purpose is to keep and gain audiences. The new version of your app just screams go elsewhere for your tech content! Forget scrubbing video fix the content and delivery system, then work on fixing usage! ———————————————————— Still no change!! This app is crap!! No fast forward, no skip, no choosing what you want to watch without scrolling endlessly!! UGH!! CNET get better people choosing how to deliver your content, and no we don’t want this!!! Where are my shows??!! New update and everything is gone!! Please bring back the shows!!! Another perfect example of what happens when a company decides what’s best for the audience!! This deserves a rotten apple!! Crap update going somewhere else for my content! May check periodically!

I like being able to navigate the app better....this one seems so limited while the refresh looks like a 10, USABILITY is a 2...so it’s time to post this review then delete my app. You killed a nice useful app to make it more magazine like. After a new update I am changing my review from 1 to 4 stars....thanks for listening and bringing back support to look at and find video shows, now if you can find a way to find archived shows I will give you 5 stars.
