Fantastic Camera

GaneshOdinson

I've been using this app for a number of years now, and this is the best iteration thus far. Totally dig taking pictures with it and the non-destructive option allows one to us the photos, modified or not in other photo manipulation apps.

A lot of fun

TaylorPlayer

Update 2019: I like this app a lot. It takes some experimentation to find what I like as far as lenses and films but I guess that’s the whole point. I have found some looks for my images that I enjoy and there has obviously been a lot of work put into the app. It really is a fun way to approach photography.

Mesmerizing

Tanjaolson

Love it. I can waste hours playing with the lens, film, and flash combinations!

Post-impressionists Unite!

Señor Jeemz

Fan of the Post-Impressionists? Then you’ll really dig this app. The results of the combinations of lenses and films are almost always a surprise (a good surprise). The only downside is that you can’t always select a particular point to be in focus when you change the depth of field. Some combos you can; most you can’t.l

Still my fave

Eve Severe

I have been shooting photography for well over thirty years and Hipstamatic is my fave app for the iOS platform. Some of Hipsta’s other apps have come and go but this one has always been supported since day one. I love the new films and lenses every month. They actually get me excited to shoot. Fabulous customer service as well. If you have an issue just contact the developers. They have always responded to every one of my messages (even if my questions were dumb) with the utmost respect. This app is always my go to photo app out of twenty or so.

Great Product, Great Customer Service!

kgmessier

This is a terrific app for taking a good photo and making it something really special. It's a delight for those of us who enjoy tweaking images, bringing out subtlety or really mangling something. Sure, you can do a lot to give an image a certain retro look, but the amount of control makes Hipstamatic something much more than that. Often, I find myself adding just a splash of field depth or making fine curve adjustments. Of course, all the lenses, films, and so on make for great inspiration as well. As for the customer service, I recently had an issue with a purchase and they responded immediately. They straightened everything right out quickly and kindly. Thanks!

The OG creative photography app is still the best

fighthairloss

Still the best and most relevant! I’ve been using Hipstamatic for seven or eight (maybe nine?) years. It’s helped me take original and amazing photos from all around the world (literally). It never gets old, you have limitless possibilities by combining film, lenses, and “flashes”. Hipstamatic constantly releases updated “hipstapaks” for just a few bucks: new film types and lenses for even more creativity. There are prints in my home people inquire about. Who was the photographer? Where did you buy that? Very often they’re inquiring about photos taken with hipstamatic. Thank you, hipstamatic, for not trying to be instagram. If you keep doing your thing, I’ll keep buying a few new film and lens types every so often.

Suddenly Non-Functiinal

AlexisMedici

I used to love this app as my go-to photo editor, but it’s now non-functional. It seems that an update has completely reformatted the photo selection mechanism, and you can’t do anything to your photo once you’ve selected it. Incredibly disappointed...

iPhone 11 not compatable?

ControlYourPoison

I bought the new iPhone and restored all my purchases and I cannot scroll and choose a film because the window is hidden beneath the camera. I can’t move the camera part so I can’t access the film. Help?

Love the app - but

corelsoft

Please do an update where there is a camera button to return back to shooting. That little annoying little yellow line at the top of the phone is infuriating to tap and more often than not brings down my notification center on ios instead of going back to camera. Other than that I absolutely love this app.
