Frustrating … Please fix the AI bias

I can’t agree more with the reviews that the game isn’t fun. I am a fan of the board version, however my strategy for this game has to be to build on the numbers that the computer builds. Otherwise, my hex numbers will not roll. The other reviewers have accurately described how the computer will be enabled to get development cards as well as selectively place the robber on your hex … no matter how far ahead the others might be. At the beginning, this is not the case, however as soon as you begin to build, you are targeted. It is a disappointment. I also agree with the observations of the glitches. If a game goes too long, the development card and build selection/functionality disappears.
Can’t choose open roads when building a road

I played this many times but went to play today and with 5 choices of open road to build I could only choose 3 and none were the way I wanted to go

If you play against AI, the dice rolls will NOT be random. Be prepared to sit through five to six rolls in a row of a number you do not have (really obvious when it’s a two or 11). Then watch as the AI plays stealing development cards, while you have useless cards you can’t play. Take my advice: quit out if AI gets 5 points ahead, because at that point you can’t win. Will you ever fix this??

This game is completely rigged when playing against the app. It comical how all computer players pile on against the user even if you’re not in the lead. The developers need to fix the algorithm on how many times it rolls a 7. It’s laughable how many times you have a dice roll in your favor after the robber has been placed on your hex. It destroys the enjoyment of the game.

The game cheats, I have played games where the game rolls more two’s (snake eyes) than sixes, and if the robber lands on my property it’s guaranteed the next roll of the dice will be the property the robber is on, I have even had the computer place the robber on my property when I don’t have anything to give up. Its a shame because this could be a fun game to play if it where programmed right

The game will cheat rolls to make game closer if one player pulls ahead. The computer will give itself premium rolls when losing. Ive had opponents roll a 7 six times in a row to steal your cards. Do not pay for this game.
Overall a fun game, but loses something at the end

Gameplay is fun against the AI, but after enough play, messages are invisible. Been that way for years with no fix.

Update Dec 2022 With the current update this game is not worth playing. The problem is that if your playing off line you have to have 3 players, you and 2 AI’S. The AI’S will get certain numbers that only they have and those numbers will be the only numbers rolled on the dice, or if you do get some cards, the AI’S with come up with knight card after knight card and take everything you have. Considering that the only time I get a card is after three rounds of getting NOTHING! TO THE DEVELOPERS; Are you just really incompetent at writing code, or are you doing this on purpose??? Like the other bad reviews I am experiencing the same frustration. Update: Playing knights and cities expansion. The game starts off by taking away my city the first time the barbarian's land, then 8,5,6,9 are not thrown if they are on ore or wheat. Instead 3,12,2, and 7's lots and lots of 7's in a row taking away any resources I am lucky enough to get. This makes it impossible to trade resources for a city for a very long time. To add to that if I do get those cards they are taken away by the other AI players as soon as I get them. It takes half the game to get a city. Once I do and start to get progress cards the game makes them invisible so they can't be used by me, but the AI players are able to take them away from me to use against me. I have played knights and cities 17 times now and it plays the same way EVERY TIME! Arrrrgh... To the developer: Are these problems a programming issue or is this by design? If this is a programming issue is there a fix coming? If not I would like a refund. THIS IS NOT FUN, it's making me hate this game. I have been playing the board game for 4 months now on a weekly basis with 4-5 other players. I purchased this app and all of the expansions to bet better at the game, but that is not happening. At this point I have warned the other players not to waste their money buying this app, which was a big disappointment to them. Original post. Playing the basic game and the seafarers expansion. I've played quite a few games now and playing against the computer opponents is impossible to win. With that said this is what I am experiencing: If I have 5,6,8,9 covered and those numbers do not get rolled. Instead it rolls 2,12, 3, 7 over and over. Not possible in a real game, in fact it is statistically impossible. Or every number get rolled except the ones I'm on. Have not gotten a single resource in as many as 10 to 30 rolls. I had to turn on the resource setting to get a resource every 5 rolls. Out of nowhere AI's will win with 7 to 8 victory card points, but I only get knight cards. A 7 gets rolled and the AI's will take my card every time, then they will have enough soldier cards to take all of my other resource cards in one play. The AI players will never trade with me, but they will ask me for trades over and over and over even if I tell the game not to. The list goes on, but you get the point. The developer need to spend some money on a good programer to solve the unrealistic play problems. I hope the developer can get this fixed. At $15 I'm feeling like a sucker who just got played.
