Makes my camera freeze

Twisted Muscle

I’ve used the software on a few different Canon cameras in the past but this version crashes and then causes my camera to freeze, requiring battery removal to restart.

Disappointed

Chrisg24

I tried used it but there is no video disappear from camcorder connects

Raw support

Thomasdegry

Why doesn't the app support transferring raw images onto the phone? There are plenty of apps that can deal with those filetypes now (lightroom, darkroom).

Can’t download videos longer than about 80 seconds

What is up dram alert

It glitches out of the app a lot and disconnects from the camera often. Also I have noticed that it is incapable of downloading videos longer than about 80 seconds. It will say something along the lines of “ this video is not suitable for download” even though a video filmed ten seconds after the that clip, but is 60 seconds long will download.

Eh

Delos33

It’s basic. The one thing I don’t understand is why I can’t move my pictures from the app directly to Canon Image Gateway. It’s a waste of time to download every picture to my phone first, then have to delete all those photos later. Makes no sense that two Canon apps wouldn’t be compatible with each other.

Help!

goneindabrain

This app worked perfect for me and my 70D, but ever since the most recent update I’ve had nothing but issues. I just can’t seem to get my camera connected to the app now.

Will freeze (brick) SX 700 HS temporarily

When using camera access mode it freezes the camera and you have to take the batteries out. Also, the “easy connect” is obnoxious.

Worked with iOS 8 but not X

R-2800

This app worked ok with my old iPhone and old iPad. With my new iPad Pro I can connect to the cameras WiFi but the app will not find my camera.

Doesn’t work on iPhone X

It’s not compatible with my phone it says it’s connected but nothing shows up when I open the app.

Good but not perfect

Chuy1106

I’ve been using the app for a couple months now and overall I’m happy with its functionality when it works. As others have mentioned the camera seems to connect and drop randomly. I found turning off the camera and waiting about 2 seconds and then turning it back on seems to fix that issue and it connects right away. I’m currently using this on an iPhone 7+ with a canon 80D. I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this but when I download my photos from the camera they’re in JPEG even though I’m shooting in raw. When I open the app to view photos I see that they are raw files. I select the pictures I want and download them but when I move them from iPhoto to Lightroom mobile they are all JPEG. Not sure if this is an iPhone optimizing issue or not. I did test my theory using a third party camera app for iPhone that lets you shoot raw photos using the phones camera and imported those into Lightroom mobile and those remained in their raw format. I wish I could download the files to a folder vs only having the option to download to iPhoto to get around this issue. Other than that everything else seems fine. I like using the app as a remote shutter when shooting at night.
