Awful

Just a terrible canon app. Nothing will pair. Shame on canon for such junk.

Continues to disconnect

WKoscreamjc

Every time I use this app to transfer photos from my cannon g7x to my iPhone, it always disconnects during the process. It’s only worked maybe one out of the hundreds of times I’ve done it. This never happened before with the old app. Please fix this bug.

LOVE ITT!!!

This app is literally The best. Its helps you control your Camera if its on a tripod and you have no remote. You can also Download your images on the go and Delete your images quicker than On a laptop or on the actual camera. I would just keep making improvements on the connection and Somehow get Videos through even it kills the quality! Overall Good app for on the go and in a pinch :)

This new update is TERRIBLE

If you have a PoweShot G7X and you’re having trouble getting the app to tap into your camera through the Bluetooth function, you’re not alone. Despite being connect my camera’s Bluetooth signal to my phone’s, that connection won’t appear on the app. I really regret deleting the older version of this app. PLEASE if you still use the older version, check to see if this one works with your camera before deleting the older one.

Won’t connect. Lack of support.

I have a new SX60HS. I have followed the connection directions carefully. Sought help online. In their “help” section they refer to the prior version. The support for this app is non-existent. Very frustrated!

Disappointing

EDIT: note the app keeps crashing and worse, makes my camera freeze, too. So I have to remove the battery from my camera in order to get it to unfreeze, so I can turn it off. Great. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was already bummed that there is simply no option to have a remote with my Powershot G7x. Now I learn that my absolute only option is this awful app. Connecting my phone to the camera takes several minutes each time. Once connected, there's a long delay between the camera feed capturing what's actually in front of it. I had this app once years ago, and I'm surprised it hasn't been improved in all that time. The DJI app for Osmo stabilizers is amazing, intuitive, and quick to connect. Wish THIS app was like that, especially because I need to use this remote function a lot more than I do my Osmo. Sigh.

App runs very hot on iPhone X with latest iOS 11

Hosiebosie

App Live Photo lags about 7 secs worse since update. Takes too long to download photos from camera device. Need more support on iPhone X and iOS 11.

Good for transferring photos

JVRL77

Good for transferring photos to my iPhone and iPad, but the connection process is cumbersome. As a remote shutter app it's very limited, with poor camera control.

Really?

I have used this since I got my canon powershot but ever since I got a new camera it hasn’t been able to download some videos and pictures.

It’s pretty good.

I don’t like that you can no longer download your videos. That was a feature I used to use a lot. I can’t image taking features away is a good strategy.
