Second time I've used it...

...and I got a quick response. Street light was out, street was VERY dark... fixed within 48 hours. They also upgraded all of the streetlights on my street to the new LED ones. One thing to keep in mind - I'm not surprised to see negative reviews when I see some of the complaints people submit via the app. There is an old bike rack on the street in front of your house you want removed? Shut up.

It is good to know I can address any safety (or cosmetic) issues in my neighborhood so easily. It's a great way to allow the city access to our day-to-day. The 'photo plus written report' is simple, effective. I used it a few times last near with snow issues (winter '10-'11) and although it could've been coincidence, I was always taken care of fairly soon after pic/report was sent. Might as well have it, never know when you'll need it.

A big step forward for Boston

This app is a big step forward for the city of Boston as it enables people to submit work requests very efficiently. I submitted a few myself and we'll see if they get resolved. I have submitted some through the website and they have been successful. I really like that Boston is developing these apps because it really empowers citizen and can let users improve the city in real time because they can communicate directly with the workers.

There was a lot of trash on my East Boston street. With this app I took a picture of it and within 2 hours Boston public works was cleaning the trash out of the street! The app is well designed and easy to use. Download it and help keep Boston clean!

If you want a record of excuses of why Menino's people will not do anything, this is the app for you. If you were hoping to actually have someone do something about requests for services, this is useless.

I am very impressed with this App! I filed a complaint that my street was not cleaned on street cleaning day. I was skeptical that anything would be done about it due to logistics- after all, how could they come back and clean the street around parked cars? The street sweeper and a man with a broom just left after having completed the job! This App works!! Thank you Mayor Menino!!

I have to say that I'm really impressed by Boston & this App. I reported 2 potholes near my house. The app recorded the location from the phone & the potholes were fixed in a few days. This is an amazing initiative by the city & I highly recommend it!

LESS than 24 hours and the city has patched a hole on a Boylston sidewalk. This is unbelievably fast response using this app. Having fallen in it twice this winter, I truly appreciate our Fair City attention to detail!

Ignore the bad reviews, they don't pertain to the app itself. The app allows you to quickly route minor concerns in your neighborhood such as potholes, graffiti, or trash not picked up to the right city resource. Great map to see what is reported and resolved. Future enhancement: maybe add the ability to +1 an existing issue?

This app provides an easy way to report many types of issues/problems in Boston. I report issues all the time and most of the time they are resolved quickly. Occasionally an opened ticket will not be addressed, but that's probably not the fault of the app. Overall, great app.
