The recipes are easy, delicious, not boring and cost effective. I’m even learning easy ways to add flavor that I never knew would be so easy. Portion control and the weight watchers meals are also great aspects of the blue apron meals.

I took off 1 star because this Blue Apron App has issues. For example: - Try reporting an egg that was broken during shipping. - Try skipping an order 5 days before it’s shipped Perhaps this App was designed and tested only by software engineers without thorough user testing.

What started off as the go to meal delivery service has taken a turn for the worse. I used it years ago in another state and was thrilled with the service and innovative recipes available. After getting an offer in the mail, I decided to try them out again, but I was sorely disappointed. The first delivery was delivered a day late. The second delivery was then canceled by blue apron. We are now on week three and the delivery was said to be shipped and delivering today. After not showing up, I got an email at 5pm saying that it had been delayed again. On top of the inconvenience of having to scramble for dinner tonight, I have been let down with the choices now available. What used to be exciting dishes with flavors from across the globe has become cheap and mundane. I have tried out other meal kit deliveries, and your money is better spent with pretty much anyone else.

I was a customer for about a year back in 2017, would get the 3 meal a week deal every week. On and off before that, probably 20 deliveries over 2 years. During the 2017 when I would order every week I always did get my food on time and most of the time very fresh HOWEVER as time goes by the special ingredients (some interesting fruit or vegetable I have not tried before and is not at local grocery stores) would get substituted for just some common fruit or vegetable. So I can only assume they send them to the new customers to keep them happy. Who runs this company! Imagine what is going on with all the workers being told to put substitutes only in certain packages. Why do you pick and choose who gets the substitutes they may ask, the greedy companies answer “because loyal customers are very few and will not make us the money that new customers will so we want so we short change them, that way we get good reviews and keep taking money from the idiots who will keep using our service for long periods”. This is a trendy service for people to try a few times or at max maybe 2 months which I think is when I started getting substituted just about every time. Every time I think of this company I only think of the anger of them basically using me for my money. So my advice is if you do ever get substituted don’t take it sitting down like I did, demand a refund and tell them if you ever send me a substitute again I will want a refund for that as well. FROM MY EXPERIENCE THEY WILL USE YOU!

Tried to cancel but there are now 2 charges on my account. Need to get ahold of the company. They need to communicate with their customers better.

Customer Support needs to be improved. I did not receive a delivery and they said well you need to contact us after 8 pm and we will help you. It was 8:30 when I contacted them. They are clearly clueless. Plus, they could not tell me how long a delivery would remain fresh. They said well contact us if you receive it and we will tell you then. Shouldn’t they know this information? Very disappointed!
high quality ingredients; plenty of food

This was the first time trying blue apron so I came with an open mind about how they would be able to ensure food freshness, variety, and quality; let alone deliver it on schedule. I was amazed. The food was tightly packed fresh; the veggies were restaurant quality; and the meat ample in amount. The meal itself was delicious..easily a $50 meal fir a couple if you were to order or eat out.
