Bad business practices – Blue Apron: Meal Kits Review

I was a customer for about a year back in 2017, would get the 3 meal a week deal every week. On and off before that, probably 20 deliveries over 2 years. During the 2017 when I would order every week I always did get my food on time and most of the time very fresh HOWEVER as time goes by the special ingredients (some interesting fruit or vegetable I have not tried before and is not at local grocery stores) would get substituted for just some common fruit or vegetable. So I can only assume they send them to the new customers to keep them happy. Who runs this company! Imagine what is going on with all the workers being told to put substitutes only in certain packages. Why do you pick and choose who gets the substitutes they may ask, the greedy companies answer “because loyal customers are very few and will not make us the money that new customers will so we want so we short change them, that way we get good reviews and keep taking money from the idiots who will keep using our service for long periods”. This is a trendy service for people to try a few times or at max maybe 2 months which I think is when I started getting substituted just about every time. Every time I think of this company I only think of the anger of them basically using me for my money. So my advice is if you do ever get substituted don’t take it sitting down like I did, demand a refund and tell them if you ever send me a substitute again I will want a refund for that as well. FROM MY EXPERIENCE THEY WILL USE YOU!
