Great location tracker

lcyaln

I used Moves for years as an activity/travel diary...Arc easily imported my Moves data and is very accurate and visually appealing. It’s just what I wanted!

Prompt developer reaction - issues addressed.

After writing initial review I was promptly contacted by developer. Seems issues I had are addressed by following updates thus I upgrade my rating to 5 with best regards.

Great app, amazing developer.

BlossomMerz

My original review lamented the lack of an importer for data from the now defunct Moves app. The developer wrote me personally to say that he had implemented an importer. I asked if it was robust and he responded to tell me exactly how it would work and what to do if it didn’t. The importer worked perfectly, bringing in about 5 years of data. And the Arc app? It’s fantastic! After you’ve been tracking for a while you can dig into entries to analyze things like how often you visit a particular location, how long you stay, what times you’re usually there, and much more.

Great moves alternative

TonyLewis

I started using this app because a similar app call “Moves” went out of business. I was pretty upset because I have used moves for many years as my primary tracking app. However I found Arc which was aware of the moves going down and offered an import feature. After it’s all said and done Arc is an amazing app. Better than moves in nearly every way. I’m extremely happy with Arc and I’m excited to see how it evolves if it’s this good as a new app. Highly recommend !

Great app, just the battery

Peng.Song

This app is so nice. I used it since knowing Moves was to shut off. Only one con is that it really consumes the battery a lot, as told in the introduction. Users can change the setting of Moves. And the bettary model can improve significantly. Would suggest that Arc may also have this switch.

Moves replacement

another and another

I’m editing my review from last week and moving my rating up to four stars. I wouldn’t be surprised if I eventually move it up to five. At first I was frustrated with things that were different from Moves which I had gotten used to over the last six years and with the fact that Arc was recording whacky information such as showing me riding a train and driving a motorcycle while I was sleeping. Then I was reminded that not only am I learning to use this new app but it is learning to adapt to my habits. So, I’m ready to learn and for the most part I like what I’m seeing.

A work in progress

Davecman

Since this is the only app that seemed to work anything like Moves I time will tell whether it will actually replace said former app. Arc barely changes the battery life, at least on the iPhone X. Clearly this app creator cares greatly about this product and really works to improve it. The fault is partially mine as I’m to impatient and this is a learning app which will get better with use. Another update: I traveled recently & had a chance to see Arc in action. It was clearly superior to Fabric (which appears in a journal style form not great for tracking). One is also able to import all data from Moves. That’s a very big plus!

Great App / Great Developer

I have contributed to this endeavor and encourage others to do so.

Beautiful design, but poor experience

DN335

The app looks sleek but I had a poor experience with 2 things. 1) It never identified my home despite me labeling it 3 times and would always associate it with a random business. 2) there were times where the app used up 33% of the battery running in the background. I'm hoping to reinstall it in a few months to see if there are improvements.

Useless

ALFs1girl

This was recommended to me by the App Store when I sought a replacement for the fantastic app “Moves”. This is so disappointing. It’s completely useless (must still be beta testing). It tells you that you were in motion at certain times, but doesn’t give actual locations or steps taken. And it’s always “thinking...”. If there was a negative star option, I’d use that for this app.???????????
