Ruined gift surprise cos of app

I tried to surprise someone and even called Apple to make sure my name wouldn’t be displayed on the invoice or inside the package. When checking out, I chose the recipient’s shipping address from my address book and chose the recipient’s phone # and email thinking it would be used in case there were problems with shipping. Instead, the details of the order were sent to the recipient, completely ruining the surprise!! There’s zero indication as to what that info would be used for either. Even something as simple as the gift message field was ill thought out. First, the gift message field is too small to see more than a couple of lines, even though the majority of the screen on my 13” iPad is blank. Second, it doesn’t tell you what the max character limit is so you have to keep cutting down the message through trial and error until it accepts it.
Genius Bar Missing

Why are you no longer able to schedule a Genius Bar appointment? This made it easy now I have to go through the website? That is already annoying. Bring this feature back.

Apple manufactures predominantly overseas, utilizes offshore tax entities, and demands a high-margin retail for their products. They'll even sell you AppleCare. But this obvious strategy to reduce GB utilization is ill-conceived. Yesterday it was reported Timmy Cook earned (and exercised) some 1 MILLION stock options solely for remaining with Apple for 5 years. It seems others are finally waking up to his low record of innovation and achievement during this period, unless you approve of his liberal pet projects like building costly "green" energy plants and supporting far-left democrats. Steve Jobs was a spendthrift genius who led Apple into a successful behemoth based on innovation and service. Cook is a plotter who's ridden this wave of success but seems incapable of leading Apple toward long-term growth. Buying suppliers and redeveloping existing products into lines like Apple Music and AppleTV is not a recipe for long-term success.

Want to order an iPhone for my wife who uses the same iTunes app store account. Does not allow to change phone number so i cannot order a phone from this app.

Why so many questions? Just curious about phone pricing didn't want to be interrogated. I never did get pricing info before I got creeped out.
They removed the only reason people ever opened this app!

Removing the ability to easily make a genius bar appointment from the app was a horrible idea.

Over half the time I used this app it was to make a Genius Bar reservation. Today, I had to go through five different pages online before I found the same option. Why remove one of the best tools from the app?? To bad there isn't a way to go back to the previous version because I would in a second.
Can't Set Up a Genius Bar Appointment

Well, this app is useless now. Plain and simple. There's Apple's website for buying their products. I considered this app more for support. This app was great because it had an easy interface to book a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store. Now, all you get is a redirect to Apple's support section of their website, which is not as easy to navigate as this app. There's a lot of negative reviews about this app version. Here's to hoping Apple brings back what they removed.
