Bad in every way

I’m surprised that Anthem lets this app represent their brand. It’s total garbage. They obviously have the resources to create a good customer experience; they’ve just chosen not to.

Slowly improving ...

I am again downgrading my rating. I log in to see if my benefits cover a specific type of specialist or service. I touch MY COVERAGES. Nothing about benefits. The SUPPORT mentioned option states that the app doesn’t yet do this. Seriously? The app does not support such a fundamental service? Your benefits is the basis of all health insurance coverages. This app is seriously incompetent. I’m a seriously poor 1.6 rating is deserved. Previous comments: The latest update (April 17, 2018) finally added Face ID. That is much appreciated since I had stopped using the app when forced to type in my unique and randomly generated strong password. So I added one star to my rating. But the app still does not utilize the full iPhone X screen. I believe it is the only app of the hundred or so I have that does FaceID, but not the full screen of iPhone X. I did add one star. But still needs improvement. As for functionality, the shortcomings have been well documented in other reviews listed herein.

A disappointment.

I don’t like writing negative reviews. I’m not a negative person. I want to be objective here, so let’s do that. I’m the CEO of a very small startup. My company pays on average $500 per W2 employee per month for health insurance. For me that’s $2000 per month. I’m paying you $2000 for people in their late 20’s and 30’s who are in GREAT HEALTH, and THIS is the product you give us? As a startup founder, I could never give my customers a product like this in good conscious. I don’t know what type of red tape your dev team has, but I hope you empower them to improve this product.

Never works

Dos1981

This app is terrible, I downloaded it so I always had my insurance card and my kids so I didn’t have to keep them all in my wallet. Every time something happens and I end up in urgent care I can never access the cards When I try to send an email within the app to let them know that feature is also always broken. Needs a ton of fixes to actually work.

Waste of time

What a waste of an app. Login to view a new claim that I got an email about & the only thing I can do it get my ID card. Complete lack of basic functionality.

Worst app

Appchris0384

Hey BCBS! I know you guys are so filthy rich that you have the resources to make this app— at the very least— functional. It’s so incredibly slow... and not intuitive at all. Needs MAJOR improvements (like our overall healthcare system).

Apple Wallet

Really? I can’t put the ID CARD in my Apple wallet? 21st Century???

Extremely outdated

No support for iPhone X Edited on 5/17: To the app developer: I am not going spend my time to go through the automated phone line just to give you advice on how you can make your app better. You are the developer, you figure out why your app has a score of 1 out of 5 on Apple App Store. If you can’t figure that out then you shouldn’t have your job title.

Info doesn’t match up.

I have tried dousing the app and it just isn’t user friendly. No easy way to communicate with BCBS, and my claims information doesn’t add up. The actual website shows my claims over the last three months, but he app says that I haven’t had a claim in the last 12 months. Not a very reliable app. As well organized as the healthcare industry itself.

It’s so bad don’t download

Takes forever to download and when it does, if you start using it it kicks you off and you have to open it again. You’ll probably get faster service talking to a insurance specialist, although I haven’t ventured into that option for obvious reasons.
